Makeover reality television series are television series which focus on makeovers. [1]

Long an element of daytime talk shows, they have recently moved into the limelight in television shows such as Queer Eye . Other popular makeover shows include What Not to Wear , Extreme Makeover , Ambush Makeover and Pimp My Ride .

Sometimes a makeover is used to refer to non-physical things, such as a makeover of character, personality or attitude. It can also refer to a dramatic change in construction, such as when a building is renovated or is refurbished. Makeovers are usually referred to in a positive manner, as a way to start fresh or improve your life.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is an American reality television series that aired from February 15, 2004 to January 13, 2012 on ABC. The series is a spin-off of Extreme Makeover that features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship having their home completely remodeled to better suit their exact needs.

Restaurant Makeover is a television series on HGTV Canada that currently airs as reruns on the Food Network Canada and HGTV Canada, as well as the Fine Living channel and Food Network in the United States, DTour and in over 16 other countries worldwide. The pilot episode starred designer Robin De Groot and chef Brad Long in the Coco's Cafe. Most of the restaurants involved in the series were located in the Greater Toronto Area. Car Masters: Rust to Riches is an American reality television series on Netflix. The premise revolves around the crew from Gotham Garage, who have built a number of props for movie studios and television shows over the years. The group, led by Mark Towle, give classic cars modern makeovers in an attempt to raise their value and ultimately earn the company large profits. Each episode takes up one unique project.
