Makhi Hughes is an American football running back for the Tulane Green Wave.
Hughes attended Huffman High School in Birmingham, Alabama. During his high school career he had over 2,700 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns. He committed to Tulane University to play college football.
Hughes sat out during his freshman season in 2022 due to an injury and was redshirted. He entered his redshirt freshman year at Tulane in 2023 as a backup before earning his first start against Memphis. [1] He kept the starting job for the rest of the season and became the first player in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards as a freshman. [2] [3] [4] [5] He was named a freshman All-American and the American Athletic Conference (AAC) rookie of the year. [6]
Mewelde Jaem Cadere Moore is a former American football running back. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. Moore also played with the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning a Super Bowl ring over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. He played college football at Tulane, just down the road from his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA where he was a standout performer at Belaire High School.
DeAngelo Chondon Williams is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Memphis Tigers and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He starred in a dual role in Carolina alongside Jonathan Stewart, until Williams' release in the 2014 offseason. He then played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2015 to 2016. After his football career, he was briefly a professional wrestler.

Forte established himself as a dual-threat running back capable of earning yards as a rusher and receiver. He is one of only three players on the "1,000-yard rushing, 100-catch season" club. Forte spent eight seasons with the Bears before playing for the New York Jets for two seasons.

The 2013 New Orleans Bowl was an American college football bowl game that was played on December 21, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The thirteenth edition of the New Orleans Bowl, it featured the Tulane Green Wave of Conference USA against the Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference. The game began at 8:00 p.m. CST and aired on ESPN. It was one of the 2013–14 bowl games that concluded the 2013 FBS football season. Sponsored by freight shipping company R+L Carriers, the game was officially known as the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The Ragin' Cajuns defeated the Green Wave by a score of 24–21.

The 2015 Cincinnati Bearcats football team represented the University of Cincinnati in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team returned on campus to Nippert Stadium after playing 2014 home games at Paul Brown Stadium during stadium renovation. The Bearcats were led by third-year head coach Tommy Tuberville and were members of the Eastern Division of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 7–6 overall and 4–4 in American Athletic lay to finish in a tie for third place in the East Division. They were invited to the Hawaii Bowl where they lost to San Diego State.
