Malin Falch (born 6 January 1993) is a Norwegian cartoonist and illustrator, known for the fantasy comics series Nordlys. Sammen med Stinius Maurstad (2022-)
Born in Trondheim on 6 January 1993, Falch was educated at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. During her studies she started publishing the web series comic strip Nordlys. After finishing her studies, she was assigned by the American game development company Zynga. In 2017 she moved to Oslo to develop the comic series further. [1]
Her first book, Nordlys: Reisen til Jotundalen was issued in 2018, and earned her several awards, including the Norwegian awards Arks barnebokpris , Pondus-prisen and Barnas bokpris . The comic series has been sold to 13 countries as of 2022. Further books in the series are Nordlys bok 2: Vikingene og orakelet (2019), Nordlys bok 3: Kråkesøstrene (2020), and Nordlys bok 4: Trollriket (2021). [2] A spin-off series, Bjørnar: En historie fra Nordlys, was awarded the Ministry of Culture's prize for best comic series for children and young adults in 2019. Håkon Aasnes is a Norwegian comics creator, illustrator and writer.
Karin Gundersen is a Norwegian literary scholar and translator. A professor of French literature at the University of Oslo, she is also a translator of French literary works. She was awarded the Bastian Prize in 1993, for her translation of Stendhal's novel The Charterhouse of Parma into Norwegian. She received the Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature in 2006, for translation of Stendhal's autobiography The Life of Henry Brulard into Norwegian langue. She was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 2006.
Karen-Marie Ellefsen is a Norwegian journalist and television host. She was appointed at NRK from 1979 to 2020, and was the first Norwegian female sports reporter. Ellefsen attended Ringerike gymnasium, Skjeberg Folk High School and the University of Oslo before attending the Norwegian School of Journalism in Oslo.
