Alton Towers Resort is a theme park and resort complex in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton. The park is operated by Merlin Entertainments Group and incorporates a theme park, water park, mini golf and hotel complex.

As of 2023, the group had produced over 15,400 installations in 96 countries. Their annual revenue in 2022/2023 was 946 million euros. The Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group was formed in 2002 when Doppelmayr of Wolfurt, Austria merged with Garaventa AG of Switzerland to form the world's largest ropeway manufacturer.
Linnanmäki is an amusement park in Helsinki, Finland. It was opened on 27 May 1950 and is owned by the non-profit Children's Day Foundation, which operates the park to raise funds for Finnish child welfare work. In 2023, the foundation donated €4.5 million, and so far has donated a total of over €130 million to this cause.

The entire complex covers an area of 445,000 m2 (4,789,940 sq ft), while the amusement park alone measures 200,000 m2 (2,152,782 sq ft). Sporting both traditional attractions and entertainment shows, it attracts nearly 3 million visitors every year.

Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH is a German manufacturer of stationary and transportable amusement rides and roller coasters, located in Münsterhausen, Germany. As of May 2024, all 113 Gerstlauer-made rollercoasters are still in operation and at their original park, apart from Seifenkiste at Trampolino Familien- und Freizeitpark, which is currently in storage, and Pandemonium at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, which now operates at Six Flags Mexico under the name of Joker.
Stampida is a racing, wooden roller coaster built by Custom Coasters International at PortAventura Park in the resort PortAventura World, Salou, Catalonia, Spain. It is a very rickety roller coaster with many drops and 2 tunnels. It features two parallel tracks with blue and red cars each one, but then they run separately for a while. Finally, they come parallel again to the end of the ride. It shares a part of its route with a kiddie wooden roller coaster named Tomahawk.
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill is a wildlife and theme park near Cleebronn in Southern Germany. Covering 77 hectares in total, the park offers 29 attractions, including museums, animal petting and feeding, roller coasters, playgrounds, and a theatre. Opened in 1929, it is Germany's oldest amusement park and is still owned and managed by the same family.

Terrain roller coasters are roller coasters which take advantage of the usually-natural undulations of the land upon which they are built. Such rides may often weave through forests, and some may even dive down cliffs. Because they tend to stay close to the ground, they require fewer supports and thus are usually cheaper than the same coaster on flat ground.
Twirling Toadstool was a ride at the British theme park Alton Towers. The ride was made up of 48 hanging seats suspended by chains. When the ride began, the chairs were lifted several metres off the ground, then they began to rotate. Once the chairs had been lifted to a certain height, and were rotating fast enough, the chairs were banked as the ride tilted.
El Loco is a model of steel roller coaster manufactured by S&S Worldwide. The rides are characterised by a vertical or beyond-vertical drop, tight corners and abnormal banking. As of November 2013, there are six El Locos operating around the world.
Karacho is a Gerstlauer steel roller coaster at Erlebnispark Tripsdrill, Germany designed by Imaginvest. It opened on 10 July 2013. It features a launch and 4 inversions, and accelerates to 90 kilometres per hour (56 mph) in 1.6 seconds.
Mad Mouse is a steel wild mouse roller coaster located at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota, U.S. It was manufactured by Arrow Dynamics and opened on May 8, 1999 as a replacement for the similar coaster Rails, which was eventually moved to Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Maryland in 1998. The ride's track and supports were designed by Ride Centerline.
Valkyria is a steel Dive Coaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard operating at Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. Opened on 10 August 2018, it is Europe's longest and tallest Dive Coaster. The name Valkyria is derived from the Norse mythology creature Valkyrie, a mythological creature that brought fallen warriors to the afterlife.
The Bobsleds is an in-house hybrid roller coaster at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Irondequoit, New York. The coaster opened in its current form in 1962, making it one of the first roller coasters in the world to use steel tubular track, second only to the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland.
Children's Corner, also known as Kiddie's Corner, was a small amusement park located in Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. It stood at the western end of Victoria Road, on Cleveleys Promenade, between 1961 and 2004.
Palindrome is an upcoming steel roller coaster located at COTALand at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Manufactured by Gerstlauer, Palindrome is slated to open in 2025. Palindrome reaches a maximum height of 95 feet, a maximum speed of 51 mph, and features two inversions.
