Mananya Thaiseth (Thai :มนัญญาไทยเศรษฐ์,born August 5,1962) is a Thai politician who served as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives from 2019 to 2023. [1] [2] [3] [4] Thaiseth's brother Chada served as Deputy Minister of Interior from 2019 to 2023 and her niece Sabida serves as Deputy Minister of Interior. [5] [6] Thaiseth was previously a candidate for the Uthai Thani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) Chairman.
Her eldest son Jeset Thaiseth is an MP for Uthai Thani from the elections in 2019 and 2023.
Uthai Thani,one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (changwat) lies in lower northern Thailand. Neighbouring provinces are Nakhon Sawan,Chai Nat,Suphan Buri,Kanchanaburi and Tak. It lies somewhat off the route between Bangkok,200 km distant and Chiang Mai.

Suthep Thaugsuban is a Thai former politician and former Member of Parliament for Surat Thani province. Until 2011,he was secretary-general of the Democrat Party and a deputy prime minister under Abhisit Vejjajiva. He resigned his seat in Parliament in November 2013 to become the self-appointed Secretary-general of the People's Democratic Reform Committee,which was conducting mass protests trying to unseat the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. After the military coup of May 22,2014,Suthep was temporarily detained and placed under arrest by the new junta. He was released after four days,retired from politics,and entered Buddhist monastichood from July 2014 to July 2015. Since,he became the leader of the Muan Maha Prachachon for Reform Foundation that backed the junta sponsored Thai constitutional referendum,which had been put to a national referendum on 7 August 2016.

Thaiseth is the third member of her family to serve in three successive cabinets,following her father Chada Thaiseth,who served as Deputy Minister of Interior from 2023 to 2024,and her aunt Mananya Thaiseth,who served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture from 2019 to 2023. Her father recommended she be appointed to succeed him.
