Personal life and career

Manasvi Kottachi is the daughter of comedian Kottachi, who appeared in supporting comedic roles alongside Vadivelu and Vivek. [1] [2]

She debuted with Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018) after her father's manager saw a video of her on her father's Facebook account. [3] In the film, she played Nayanthara's daughter and gained recognition for her role. [4] [5] She played one of the lead roles in the Malayalam film My Santa (2019) with Dileep. [1] [2] [6] She went on to star in Darbar (2020) and several other films. [4] [7] She played the lead role in the horror film Kanmani Pappa (2022) directed by Sree Mani. [8] [9] Following her performance in Maamanithan (2022), she received an offer to work in a Hindi film. [10]

She made her acting debut with Sathyan Anthikad's Malayalam film Manassinakkare in 2003, post the success she became a popular star in the Malayalam industry. Pattampoochi (transl. Butterfly) is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language psychological crime thriller film written and directed by Badri, produced by Khushbu Sundar, under the banner of Avni Cinemax. The film stars Sundar C and Jai in the lead roles, alongside Honey Rose, Imman Annachi and Manasvi Kottachi. The film was released on 24 June 2022 to mixed reviews from critics, with praise for Jai's performance but criticism for the screenplay and violence. The film performed well at the box office. The film is slightly inspired from the 1991 American film "The Silence of the Lambs.
