Mandlenkosi Phillip Galo (born 5 July 1962) is a South African politician who serves as the inaugural president of the African Independent Congress (AIC), a party he and other disgruntled ANC members founded over a demarcation dispute in 2005. [1] [2] He was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa in 2014 and won re-election to a second term in 2019. [3] [4]

The AIC lost its parliamentary representation in the 2024 general election, ending Galo's tenure as a member of parliament. [5]

Mandlenkosi Sicelo Mabika is a South African politician who was first elected to the National Assembly in 2014 as a member of the National Freedom Party. He joined the Democratic Alliance in March 2019 and was re-elected to the National Assembly at that year's election in May.

KwaZulu-Natal is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa, the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa, the national legislature of South Africa. The constituency was established in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. It is conterminous with the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The constituency currently elects 41 of the 400 members of the National Assembly using the closed party-list proportional representation electoral system. Somyo was elected to Parliament in 2019. Soon after, he was elected Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Auditor General. He left parliament in 2024.

Zoliswa Albertina Kota-Mpeko is a South African politician from the Western Cape. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she served as Deputy Minister of Human Settlements between May 2009 and May 2019. She served six terms in the National Assembly of South Africa.
