Maneswar Brahma is a Bodoland People's Front politician from Assam. He has been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Barama constituency. [1] [2] [3]
The Brahmaputra, also known as the Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibet, the Siang/Dihang River in Arunachal Pradesh, and Luit, Dilao in Assam, is a trans-boundary river which flows through Tibet, India, and Bangladesh. It is the 9th largest river in the world by discharge, and the 15th longest.

Sarbananda Sonowal is an Indian politician from Assam who is the current Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Minister of AYUSH and a member of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs in the Government of India. Sonowal earlier served as the Assam state President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2015 to 2016. He is a former MLA in Assam Legislative Assembly, and also a former Chief Minister of Assam. Sonowal has also served as the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, from 2014 to 2016. He was chosen to be the Chief Minister of Assam after the 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly election and he is the first Chief Minister of the state from Bharatiya Janata Party. During the cabinet reshuffle on 7th July 2021, he was inducted to the 2nd Modi Cabinet.

Assam separatist movements refers to series of multiple insurgency movements operating in Northeast India's oil-rich state of Assam. The overall voter turnout was 84.72%, which set a new record for Assam. The turnout was an increase from the 2011 Assembly election figure of 75%.
The 2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election was the 15th quinquennial legislative assembly election held in the Indian state of Assam from March 27 to April 6 in three phases, to elect 126 MLAs to the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the result declared on Sunday, 2 May. The term of the previous Fourteenth Legislative Assembly of Assam ended on 31 May 2021.
