Manfred Kaufmann (born 6 March 1953) is a Brazilian sailor. He competed in the Flying Dutchman event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. [1]

The event was won by 0.01 seconds by Otis Davis of the United States, the second consecutive and ninth overall title in the event for an American. Carl Kaufmann's silver was the second straight silver for a German in the event, while Malcolm Spence's bronze was the first medal for South Africa in the 400 metres since 1920.
