She received several awards including a Filmfare Award. She was posthumously conferred with the Best Actress Award for her role in Aadmi Aur Aurat (1984) at the 5th Damascus International Film Festival in 1987.

Byomkesh was a 2014 Indian Bengali crime fiction television series based on the Bengali sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The series starred Gaurav Chakrabarty, Saugata Bandyopadhyay and Ridhima Ghosh as Byomkesh Bakshi, Ajit and Satyabati respectively. The series premiered on 20 November 2014 on Colors Bangla channel and ended on 14 November 2015. This series is re-runned on 4 March 2024. The first episode was narrated by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty.

Sangharsha is a 1995 Indian Bengali-language political action film directed by Haranath Chakraborty. Produced by Prabir Kumar Rakshit and Gautam Sinha Roy under the banner of Laxmi Chitram, the film was based on a story by Anjan Chowdhury, which itself was inspired from the political violence taken place in West Bengal during the late 1980s. The film stars an ensemble cast consisting of Ranjit Mallick, Tapas Paul, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Abhishek Chatterjee, Chumki Chowdhury, Laboni Sarkar, Manoj Mitra, Dilip Roy in pivotal roles. Plotted in a village near Bolpur, which is ruled by two different gangs, always collide with each other for various social issues including a cold competition during the Durga Puja. During these violent situations, there arrives a doctor named Subhankar, who comes to know that both the leaders of the gangs are educated but are indulged to do anti-social activities forcibly by a local politician and a doctor. Then he takes the situation under control and becomes the inspiration for the gang members to be turned around. It was an all time blockbuster at the box office.

Sabyasachi is a 1977 Bengali language period political action thriller film directed by Pijush Basu. Based on the novel Pather Dabi written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, the film produced by Asim Sarkar under the banner of Usha Films. It stars Uttam Kumar in the titular role, alongside Supriya Devi, Bikash Roy, Kiran Lahiri and Tarun Kumar in lead roles. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Nidan Bandhu Banerjee and particulary Uttam Kumar himself, marking his second film as a composer after Kal Tumi Aleya (1966). Set in British India, it revolves around a freedom fighter as well as revolutionary Dr. Sabyasachi Mallick, arresting whom is very difficult for the police as he always escape through his presence of mind and jaw dropping disguises. When he comes to Burma to continue his foundation 'Pather Dabi' against the British raj and the Burma police service hires DCP Nimai Roy from India to bring him down.
Shraddhanjali is a 1993 Bengali drama film directed by Sreekanta Guha Thakurta and produced by Bandana Das. The story, screenplay and lyrics are penned by Anjan Choudhury. The plot revolves around the three central characters — Amit, Sathi and Bobby. Amit discovers his student Bobby's love for him whereas he is in love with Sathi. Sathi, on the other hand, chooses to stay away from Amit's life as he has the scope to prosper in his life if he marries Bobby. Bobby is as magnanimous as Sathi. She plays her part to reunite Amit and Sathi. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee as Amit, Satabdi Roy as Sathi and Debashree Roy as Bobby. It also stars Ranjit Mullick, Kali Banerjee, Anup Kumar, Ruma Guha Thakurta and Aloka Ganguly. The music of the film is composed by R. D. Burman.
Pratikaar is a 1987 Indian Bengali-language vigilante action film written and directed by Prabhat Roy. Produced by Pranab Basu under the banner of Chandima Films, the film stars Victor Banerjee, Chiranjeet Chakraborty and Debashree Roy in lead roles, while Utpal Dutta, Madhabi Mukherjee, Satabdi Roy, Shakuntala Barua, Sukhen Das, Biplab Chatterjee, Chhaya Devi and Nimu Bhowmik play supporting roles. The screenplay and dialogues were also written by Prabhat Roy. The soundtrack album and background score was composed by Bappi Lahiri, with the lyrics penned by Gauriprasanna Mazumder. It plots the story of an intelligent student Shankar, who becomes a vigilante after the violent murder of his mother and brutal rape of his sister, by the local goons who kidnaps women and sell them outsides. When he starts avenging, DSP Rajib Chowdhury who is childhood friend of Shankar, comes on the board to investigate the murder mysteries done by Shankar.
