The film premiered on February 6, 2022 at the Mammoth Film Festival, [3] where it won the prize for Best Genre Film. [4]

In July 2022, it was announced that the North American distribution rights to the film were acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films. [4]

The film was released in theaters, on demand and on digital on November 11, 2022. [5] [6]

Reception

The film has a 67% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on nine reviews. [7]

Michael Talbot-Haynes of Film Threat rated the film an 8 out of 10 and wrote, "Manifest West is a drama that breaks through the mythology of the family picture to reach something much more primal. Pack up some provisions and start hiking to find it." [8]
