Manjari Joshi is a TV newsreader/anchor of the Indian public service broadcast television network Doordarshan . [1] [2] [3]
Manjari got her schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi. She pursued her graduation in Chemistry (Hons) from Miranda College of University of Delhi. She later turned towards Russian and received her post graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is a translator of Russian to English and Hindi. She has written articles for newspapers. She teaches television journalism. [4] [5]
Shakuntala Devi was an Indian mental calculator, astrologer, and writer, popularly known as the "Human Computer". Her talent earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. However, the certificate for the record was given posthumously on 30 July 2020, despite Devi achieving her world record on 18 June 1980 at Imperial College, London. Devi was a precocious child, and she demonstrated her arithmetic abilities at the University of Mysore without any formal education.

Sunita Jain (1941–2017) was an Indian scholar, novelist, short-story writer and poet of English and Hindi literature. She was a former professor and the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She published over 80 books, in English and Hindi, besides translating many Jain writings and some Hindi literature into English. She is featured in the Encyclopedia of Post-Colonial Literatures in English and was a recipient of The Vreeland Award (1969) and the Marie Sandoz Prairie Schooner Fiction Award. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2004. In 2015 she was awarded the Vyas Samman by the K.K. Birla foundation for outstanding literary work in Hindi. In 2015 she was awarded an honorary D.Litt. from the University of Burdhwan, West Bengal.
Lakshmi Kannan, also known by her Tamil pen name Kaaveri, is an Indian poet, novelist and short story writer. Writing in Tamil, she translates her works into English. Her poetry has received positive reviews in the Indian press.
Indra Kumari Devi was the first wife of Prithvi Narayan Shah, King of Nepal. Born to Hem Karna Sen, King of Makwanpur, she was married to Shah in February 1738, at the age of 14. During the wedding ceremony, a conflict arose, subsequently he went home without a bride. She with other wives of Prithvi Narayan Shah committed sati on 11 January 1775 in Devighat.
Begum Syeda Naseem Fatima Chishti is an Indian writer, poet, novelist and satirist. She has published various articles in different magazines and broadcasts on All India Radio. Her articles are mostly based on National Integration Non-violence, Peace and Harmony. She received the National Communal Harmony Award from the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2002.
