Mannequin Pussy (formerly known as Gypsy Pervert) is the debut full-length studio album by American punk rock band Mannequin Pussy.
Writing for The Big Takeover , Cody Conrad noted "a rare urgency to their music" and stated that this "can be a difficult album to listen to, but that’s part of the reason it’s so great". [1] Renaldo69 of PunkNews made this a staff pick and praised the mix of genres on this album and called the music a "whirlwind of tracks". [2] A brief profile for TinyMixTapes by Art Ivan summed up that "the kids’ll love it" for being able to switch between moods and tones. [3] Frank Valish of Under the Radar called Mannequin Pussy one of the overlooked albums of 2014, commenting on the album's intensity that "the songs hit you over the head like an anvil and pummel with a ferocity and ferociousness that will force you to submit", but noting that repeated spins will reward listeners with diverse music that includes "girl-group melodies, shoegaze-y haze, and metal fuzz". [4]

...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, are an American alternative rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1994. The band's earliest stable lineup consisted of Conrad Keely, Jason Reece, Kevin Allen and Neil Busch, though for most of the band's history Keely and Reece were the core members with other musicians serving for varying lengths of time. Trail of Dead gathered a hardcore of fans and were well known for their energetic and protracted live performances. Between 1998 and 2023, the band released eleven studio albums and five EPs along with one live album and twenty-two singles. The artwork for all of the albums was created by Keely using various media. This artwork has strong and recurring mythical and historical themes.

The Headphone Masterpiece is the debut album by American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cody Chesnutt, released in 2002. It was recorded in his home bedroom with a 4-track recorder and Chesnutt playing guitar, bass, keyboard, and the organ. A 36-song double album, The Headphone Masterpiece features neo soul and lo-fi music, and distorted, overdubbed production. It was written and arranged by Chesnutt, whose mix of ironic and sincere lyrics reflect on personal experiences such as falling in love with his wife and reconciling his love for rock and roll with the drawbacks to the rock lifestyle.
Cryptograms is the second album from Atlanta, Georgia-based indie rock group Deerhunter, released through Kranky on January 29, 2007 on CD and vinyl. Following the 2005 release of its first full-length album Turn It Up Faggot, Deerhunter began recording material for its next record at Rare Book Room studio in New York. This initial recording session failed, due to the physical and mental state of lead singer Bradford Cox, as well as malfunctioning equipment in the studio. The band returned to Atlanta, only giving recording a second try after encouragement from members of the band Liars. The final version of Cryptograms was recorded in two separate day-long sessions, months apart, resulting in two musically distinct parts—the first includes more ambient music while the second contains more pop music elements. Cox sang most of the record's lyrics in a stream-of-consciousness manner; they include themes of death, companionship, and Cox's experiences with his genetic disorder Marfan syndrome. Cryptograms was generally well received by critics, and several publications placed the album on their lists of the top albums of 2007.
