Manoj Manzil is an Indian politician from Bihar. He represented the CPIML Liberation in Tejashwi Yadav's Mahagathbandhan alliance during the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election. [1] [2] Manzil has concentrated his political activity in Agiaon and has been organizing the Sadak Par School Movement in Bhojpur. [3] [1] He received 84,777 votes,61.51% of total vote share,and was elected as the MLA from Agiaon in 2020. [4]
Manzil was born in 1984 or 1985 to a family of landless Dalit labourers and brick kiln workers. His father was a cadre of the CPI(ML) and his uncle spent his life as part of the Jay Prakash movement.
He managed to get into college in Arrah and taught students to make ends meet but was forced to drop out several times. He eventually became a Left activist. In 2015,he contested the elections from Agiaon as a CPI(ML)-L candidate but was jailed and came in third place. [5]
In 2018,he organized the Sadak Par School movement in Bhojpur district,where he and other cadres would teach students on the road to protest abysmal primary schooling in rural Bihar. The movement gained significant media attention and in response the government made several school reforms. [6] In 2020,he contested the elections again and won a majority. [5]
Manoj Manzil along with 22 others were sentenced to life imprisonment in a case relating to the murder of JP Singh during the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. [7]
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (abbreviated as CPI(M)) is a communist political party in India. It is the largest communist party in India in terms of membership and electoral seats,and one of the national parties of India. The party was founded through a splitting from the Communist Party of India in 1964 and it quickly became the dominant faction.

However,the ideological commitment of its cadre protected it from disintegration. It staged a comeback in politics after winning twelve seats in Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2020 and by sending two of its members to Lok Sabha in 2024 Indian general elections.
The Ranvir Sena is a militia functioning as a landlord group,mainly based in the state of Bihar,India. The group was formed by Bhumihar landlords in 1994,with the aim to counter the influence of various left-wing militants,Naxalite groups and the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation (CPI-ML) in central Bihar. The Ranvir Sena has been connected to a number of massacres including the massacre at Laxmanpur Bathe. It has,on several occasions,been accused of human rights abuses. The Bihar state government banned the Ranvir Sena in July 1995,but the group continue to remain active. The group has frequently publicly claimed responsibility for its crimes with impunity.
Bhojpur district is one of the 38 districts of the Indian state of Bihar. Arrah city is the administrative headquarters of this district. Bhojpur district came into existence in 1972. Earlier it was the part of Shahabad district. This district is named "Bhojpur" after great Parmara King Bhoja as most early settlers were Rajput rulers of Parmara dynasty then called as Ujjainiya.

Supreme Court of India,in its judgement dated 10 July 2013 while disposing the Lily Thomas v. Union of India case,ruled that any Member of Parliament (MP),Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) or Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) who is convicted of a crime and given a minimum of two years' imprisonment,loses membership of the House with immediate effect. This is in contrast to the earlier position,wherein convicted members held on to their seats until they exhausted all judicial remedy in lower,state and supreme court of India. Amar Nath Yadav, alternatively Amarnath Yadav is an Indian politician and former member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He is a veteran leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation and a member of the Bihar State Committee of the party. He is also the vice president of the Kisan Mahasabha in Bihar. He is known for his opposition to the erstwhile rule of local strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin and described by a Hindustan Times article as "the only man who stood up to Shahabuddin". He had represented the Darauli constituency from 1995–2000 and from 2005–2010. He rose to prominence in the area after the murder of the student leader Chandrashekhar Prasad in 1997,who died whilst campaigning against Shahabuddin.

Since 1994,he has been arrested numerous times on accusations of murder,and was incarcerated for 17 months in the late 2000s.

In 2020 he defeated his near rival Kamla Devi from Ziradei seat with a margin of more than 25000 votes.
Jagdish Mahto was an Indian communist activist. He was a naxal leader who led the 1970 Bhojpur uprising in the landlord-dominated Bhojpur region of Bihar. He was a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist),an organisation which was leading the Naxalite insurgency against the Government of India. He also fought against the upper-caste landlords for the cause of lower-caste people. Mahto,also called Master Saheb,was a member of the Bihar State Committee of CPI(M–L) and one of the founding leaders of the party in Bhojpur.
Sandeep Saurav is an Indian politician from Bihar and a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly representing the Paliganj Assembly constituency in Patna district. He is from CPI(ML)L and was elected in the 2020 Bihar election,securing 67,917 votes against the incumbent MLA Jai Vardhan Yadav from JD(U) who secured 37,002 votes. He was nominated to contest the 2024 Indian General Election in Bihar from the Nalanda seat against the incumbent MP Kaushalendra Kumar of JD(U).

Raja Ram Singh or Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha,is an Indian politician based in Bihar,who was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly twice,from Obra Assembly constituency in Aurangabad district. He is a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. He was first elected in 1995 and retained this constituency in 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. He is also a politburo member of CPI(ML)L. In 2024 Indian general election,he defeated Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh with a margin of over one lakh votes to win Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. He stood first in the triangular electoral contest involving National Democratic Alliance candidate and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president,Upendra Kushwaha and Pawan Singh.
