Mansford is a private European multi-strategy private equity real estate firm owned and controlled by its management. Mansford was formed in 1995 and has invested directly in income producing properties, real estate development projects, indirect investments and managed structured transactions totaling circa £2.1 billion since inception. Mansford was the original developer behind Chelsea Harbour having acquired it from P&O in 1999. [1] The group currently owns a number of prominent assets in the UK including the Manchester Arena (which they acquired in 2012), [2] SkyDome Arena in Coventry, three of Cardiff's historical shopping arcades and a number of high profile office and residential properties in London. Chelsea is an affluent area of South West London, bounded to the south by the River Thames. Derek M Quinlan is an Irish businessman prominent in the field of real estate investment and development. A former tax inspector at the Irish Revenue Commission, he formed investment syndicates of high-net-worth individuals and to buy properties across the world. His principal investment vehicle was Quinlan Private, a private equity firm with offices in Dublin, London and New York. Quinlan's period of greatest prominence and success coincided with the peak of the global real estate bubble in 2004-7.
