Mansoor Delane (born December 15, 2003) [1] is an American football cornerback for the LSU Tigers. He previously played for the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Early life and high school

Delane attended Archbishop Spalding High School. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies over offers from schools such as Boston College, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Louisville, and Vanderbilt. [2] [3]

College career

In week eleven of ten of the 2022 season, Delane recorded his first career interception in a loss versus Duke. [4] He finished his freshman season in 2022 with 38 tackles with three and a half being for a loss, eight pass deflections, an interception, and two forced fumbles in eight games, [5] earning FWAA freshman All-American honors. [6] In the 2023 season, Delane notched 54 tackles with two and a half going for a loss, a pass deflection, an interception, and a fumble recovery. [7]

On December 11, 2024, Delane announced that he would enter the NCAA transfer portal. [8] Five days later, he announced his transfer to LSU. [9]

Personal life

Delane is the older brother of four-star safety Faheem Delane who is in the 2025 recruiting class. [10]
