Manuel Schleis (*1979 in Wiesbaden) is a former German music producer.
He worked together with DJ Manuel Reuter (DJ Manian, danceformation Cascada, also Spencer & Hill) and has produced many club hits and remixes for Sugababes, Moby, Scooter (band), Axwell, Public Enemy, and Tiësto. He is also a developer of audio music software as well as being a sound designer. Under the company name "Vengeance-Sound" he releases Soundsets / Sample CDs. As a sound designer for Access Music Electronics, Roland Music, Waldorf synthesizer, Propellerheads, Tone2 & reFX Manuel Schleis works as well. In 2016 his new line of VST Plugins, called "Vengeance Producer Suite", was released (in cooperation with audio software company Keilwerth Audio). Additionally Manuel Schleis works as a tutor for "dance production" for example the "Roland Synth2Sound Tour", "SAE" & "Musikmesse Frankfurt".
Starting 2014, Schleis has abandoned making EDM tracks, to focus on his passion of producing soundsets with recorded samples only.

Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from EBM in Frankfurt, Germany, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and quickly spread throughout Europe.
Breakbeat is a broad type of electronic music that tends to use drum breaks sampled from early recordings of funk, jazz, and R&B. Breakbeats have been used in styles such as Florida breaks, hip hop, jungle, drum and bass, big beat, breakbeat hardcore, and UK garage styles.
Goa trance is an electronic dance music style that originated in the early 1990s in the Indian state of Goa. Goa trance often has drone-like basslines, similar to the techno minimalism of 21st century psychedelic trance (psytrance). Psychedelic trance developed from Goa trance. The typically long songs built on progressive beat changes are said to put the listener in a “trance”.

Florida breaks, which may also be referred to as The Orlando Sound, Orlando breaks, or The Breaks, is a genre of breakbeat dance music that originated in the central region of the State of Florida, United States. Florida Breaks originates from a mixture of hip-hop, Miami bass and electro that often includes recognizable sampling of early jazz or funk beats from rare groove or popular film. Florida's breakbeat style feature vocal elements and retains the hip-hop rhythms on which is based. The Florida breakbeat style however is faster, more syncopated, and has a heavier and unrelenting bassline. The beat frequently slows and breaks down complex beat patterns and then rebuilds. The genre has been described as being easy to dance to while creating an uplifting, happy, or positive mood in the listener.
Statler & Waldorf are an Australian electronic music group and production duo formed in Brisbane in 2001. The founders were Dennis Gascoigne on synthesisers and vocals and Cameron Hales as turntablist. They were joined by Leo Hede on Ableton and FX in early 2003, with Hales leaving at the end of that year. They released an extended play, Collusions, and a studio album, AndroNovaVirus, before disbanding in 2006.
Electronic dance music (EDM) is a broad range of percussive electronic music genres originally made for nightclubs, raves, and festivals. A State of Trance is a Dutch trance radio show, hosted by Armin van Buuren and co-producer Ruben de Ronde, that first aired in June 2001. It is currently aired weekly every Thursday at 20:00 (CET) and 14:00 (EST) and as of January 2021, ASOT is broadcast by more than 150 stations in 84 countries claiming a weekly listener count surpassing 40 million.
The Goa Mix is a two-hour DJ mix by British musician and DJ Paul Oakenfold. It was originally broadcast on BBC Radio 1 as an Essential Mix on 18 December 1994 after the producer of the show, Eddie Gordon, chose Oakenfold to produce an eclectic DJ mix for the show which featured a burgeoning variation of electronic styles, having begun the previous year. Oakenfold had, at this point, developed his own unique Goa trance sound, influenced by his time at hippy gatherings on beaches in Goa, and employed it heavily into the mix, which also made pioneering use of film score samples. Oakenfold used the mix as an experiment in which he tried to fuse electronic music, especially trance music, with film score music, and then to overlay the result with vocal parts, samples and additional production. The mix was split into two parts, later referred to as the Silver Mix and the Gold Mix respectively. Reflecting the Goa influence, the album title did not evolve beyond its simplistic working name.

Dance music is music composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing. It can be either a whole piece or part of a larger musical arrangement. In terms of performance, the major categories are live dance music and recorded dance music. While there exist attestations of the combination of dance and music in ancient history, the earliest Western dance music that we can still reproduce with a degree of certainty are old-fashioned dances. In the Baroque period, the major dance styles were noble court dances. In the classical music era, the minuet was frequently used as a third movement, although in this context it would not accompany any dancing. The waltz also arose later in the classical era. Techno is a genre of electronic dance music which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempos being in the range of 120 to 150 beats per minute (BPM). The central rhythm is typically in common time (4/4) and often characterized by a repetitive four on the floor beat. Artists may use electronic instruments such as drum machines, sequencers, and synthesizers, as well as digital audio workstations. Drum machines from the 1980s such as Roland's TR-808 and TR-909 are highly prized, and software emulations of such retro instruments are popular.
