Marc Mourou (b. 3 May 1986, Monaco) is Monegasque politician. Since 2018, he is a member of the National Council of Monaco and the President of Social Interests and Diverse Affairs Committee (CISAD).
Marc Mourou was born on 3 May 1986 in Monaco. [1] He attended Albert 1st lyceum. [1] Mourou graduated with a Master II in Marketing and Creativity from ESCP Europe and a Master II in Project Management from INSEEC. [2] Previously, Mourou underwent internships in different business sectors, such as Pepsi-Cola, Hilton, Mediapost and is CEO and partner of Vertige Monaco SARL since 2015. He also graduated with an MBA from Politecnico di Milano.
In 2018, Mourou was elected as one of the youngest members of the National Council of Monaco on the list of the political group Priority Monaco (Primo!). [1] He is the President of the Education, Youth and Sports Commission at the National Council of Monaco (Parliament) and one of the youngest national advisers. [3] As the President of the Education, Youth and Sports Commission, Mourou is convinced that distance learning during Covid-19 pandemic can only be complementary and will never replace actual contact with the teacher. [4]
Following the designation by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Christophe Robino as Minister of Social Affairs and Health, the elected members of the National Council elected Marc Mourou on 25 April 2022 as the new President of Social Interests and Diverse Affairs Committee (CISAD) at the Parliament. Marc Mourou studies all texts related to labor and social law. He is also responsible for all matters related to health and provides his opinion on social issues that directly affect the Monegasque population (pensions, medical conventions, etc.).
The Crown Council of Monaco is a seven-member administrative body which meets at least twice annually to advise the prince of Monaco on various domestic and international affairs. It is one of three such councils designated by the Constitution of Monaco, along with the National Council and the Communal Council.
The National Council is the unicameral parliament of the Principality of Monaco. Formed in 1911 after the Monégasque Revolution, the National Council initially had 12 members, increased to 18 in 1962 and 24 members since 2002, who are elected from lists by universal suffrage. The National Council is chaired by a president, who was initially appointed by the sovereign prince but has been elected by the National Council members since the year 1962. The current president of the National Council is Brigitte Boccone-Pagès.
Same-sex unions have been recognised in the microstate of Monaco since 27 June 2020. On 4 December 2019, the National Council passed a bill establishing cohabitation agreements, offering both same-sex and opposite-sex couples limited rights and benefits in the areas of inheritance and property. The law took effect on 27 June.
Stéphane Valeri is a Monegasque politician and businessman. He served as the president of the National Council, which is the most powerful elected position in Monaco, between 22 February 2018 and 23 October 2022. He is the former Minister for Social Affairs and Health in Monaco. He served three terms as a National Councillor, and then as its president, but resigned halfway through the second term so that he could serve as a Government Minister.
Jean-François Robillon is a Monegasque politician, writer and doctor, who is currently a National Councillor in Monaco. He previously served as President of the National Council; following the resignation of Stéphane Valeri, Robillon was elected the 11th President by a nineteen to three majority on 11 January 2010. However, in the 2013 parliamentary election, Robillon's coalition, Union Monegasque lost control of the National Council, and as such, Robillon lost his presidency.
Caroline Rougaignon-Vernin is a Monégasque pharmacist and politician, who was a member of the National Council from 2013 to 2018.
Nathalie Amoratti-Blanc is a Monegasque politician. She is a national councilor and the president of the Commission on Women's and Family Rights in the National Council of Monaco.

Pierre Bardy is a Monegasque politician. From 2018 until 2023, he was a member of the National Council of Monaco. He is a Director of Cometh-Somoclim's Maintenance Department.
General elections were held in Monaco on 5 February 2023. The result was a landslide victory for the governing Monegasque National Union led by Brigitte Boccone-Pagès, which won all 24 seats on the National Council. The new council was sworn in on 16 February.
