Marco Anelli (born October 31, 1968, in Roma) is an Italian photographer.
He began his career in Paris where he specialized in black&white printing techniques. His photographic research projects evolve over long periods of time and explore different subjects. His publications include works on architecture, landscape, portraiture, sport and classical music. In 2010 he carried out Portraits in the Presence of Marina Abramovic, (Damiani, 2010) portraying the 1,545 participants in The Artist Is Present by Marina Abramovic at the MoMA, New York. [1] In Building Magazzino (Rizzoli, 2017) he documented the transformation of an old computer factory into Magazzino Italian Art, a new art space in Cold Spring, NY cofounded by Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu. [2] Artist Studios New York (Damiani, 2020) explores the character and creative space of worldwide famous artists such as Alex Katz, Cecily Brown, Francesco Clemente, Joan Jonas, John Giorno, Julian Schnabel, Kiki Smith, Lawrence Weiner, Matthew Barney, Robert Longo, Shirin Neshat, Ugo Rondinone, Urs Fisher. TINO, Nivola in America is his last published book (Silvana Editoriale and Magazzino Italian Art, 2021) in which Anelli’s photographic research focuses on Costantino Nivola’s sculptures scattered throughout the US.

Marina Abramović is a Serbian conceptual and performance artist. Being active for over four decades, Abramović refers to herself as the "grandmother of performance art". She pioneered a new notion of identity by bringing in the participation of observers, focusing on "confronting pain, blood, and physical limits of the body". In 2007, she founded the Marina Abramović Institute (MAI), a non-profit foundation for performance art.
Elio Ciol is an Italian photographer and publisher who was born in Casarsa della Delizia in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the region where he has principally lived and worked. His father was a photographer who kept a studio in their hometown and Elio was fascinated by the technical aspects and worked in the darkroom as a boy. A formative experience was when, during the Nazi occupation, a German doctor brought in films with photographs of the countryside rather than of people, "photographs that I myself should have been able to do and which I had not done or even imagined." He began practising photography at fifteen, worked full-time in the studio from nineteen, and spent an increasing amount of his free time taking photographs for his own interests. A trip to Assisi in 1951 made a great impression; Ciol subsequently spent much time there, taking many photographs.

Magazzino opened to the public on June 28, 2017, with an exhibition dedicated to the influence and legacy of Margherita Stein, a late Italian dealer associated with artists active in Arte Povera circles and beyond. The museum is free and open to the public.
