Marco Steinauer (born 13 April 1976) is a Swiss former ski jumper who competed from 1992 to 2006. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, he finished sixth in the team large hill and 33rd in the individual large hill events.
At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Steinauer earned his best overall finish of seventh in the team large hill event at Oberstdorf in 2005 and his best individual finish of 14th in the individual normal hill event at Thunder Bay in 1995. He finished 30th at the 2000 Ski-flying World Championships in Vikersund.
Steinauer's best World Cup finish was fourth twice, both in large hill events (1995, 1996).

Jens Weißflog is a German former ski jumper. He is one of the best and most successful ski jumpers in the history of the sport. Only Finns Matti Nykänen and Janne Ahonen, Poles Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch and Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer have won more World Cup victories.
Jakub Janda is a Czech politician and former ski jumper. In ski jumping he competed from 1996 to 2017, winning the 2005/06 World Cup and 2005/06 Four Hills Tournament, as well as silver and bronze medals at the 2005 World Championships. Janda is one of the most successful ski jumpers from the Czech Republic, and is the only Czech World Cup champion to date.
Ladislav Dluhoš is a Czechoslovakian/Czech former ski jumper who competed from 1984 to 1995. He earned two bronze medals in the Team large hill event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, and earned his best individual finish of 6th in the individual large hill in 1989.
Daiki Itō is a Japanese former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level between 2002 and 2022.
Robert Mateja is a Polish former ski jumper who competed from 1992 to 2008. His best individual World Cup finishes were fifth in Harrachov on 14 December 1996, and fifth again in Sapporo on 28 January 2001. His best team finish was third in Villach on 9 December 2001.
Martin Trunz is a Swiss former ski jumper who competed from 1990 to 1996. At the Winter Olympics, he finished eighth in the team large hill at Albertville in 1992 and 40th in the individual large hill at Lillehammer in 1994.
Stefan Zünd is a Swiss former ski jumper. He competed in the normal hill and large hill events at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Along with Jan Boklöv and Jiří Malec, he was an early pioneer of the V-style.
Nicolas Jean-Prost is a French former ski jumper who competed from 1989 to 1996. At the Winter Olympics, he finished sixth in the team large hill at Lillehammer in 1994 and 19th in the individual normal hill at Albertville in 1992.
Ivo Pertile is an Italian former ski jumper who competed from 1986 to 1996.
Jakub Sucháček is a Czech former ski jumper who competed from 1994 to 2001. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, he finished seventh in the team large hill and 15th in the individual large hill events.
Choi Seou is a South Korean ski jumper who has been competing since 1998. Competing in six Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of eighth in the team large hill event at Salt Lake City in 2002 Winter Olympics and his best individual finish of 34th in the individual normal hill event at those same games.
Kim Hyun-ki is a South Korean ski jumper who has competed from 1998 to 2018.
Jan Matura is a Czech former nordic skier competing from 1999 to 2001 and a former ski jumper competing from 2002 to 2017.
Alan Jacob Alborn is an American former ski jumper. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he finished 11th in the team large hill and 11th in the individual normal hill events.
Sébastien Lacroix is a French Nordic combined skier who has competed between 2001 and 2015. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished fourth in the 4 x 5 km team event and finished 19th in both the 10 km individual normal hill and the 10 km individual large hill events.
At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, Czech Republic, four Nordic combined were held. It also showed the biggest format changes since the introduction of the Gundersen method at the 1985 World Championships in Seefeld, Austria. In addition to the 10 km mass start event, there were changes in the Gundersen-based individual events. The 7.5 km sprint event was changed to a 10 km individual large hill event while the 15 km individual event was changed to a 10 km individual normal hill event with both being approved in September 2008. These changes also affected the Nordic combined program for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver though the mass start was excluded. The United States, which had two medals in Nordic combined prior to this championships, won a total of four medals with three golds and a bronze. Todd Lodwick, whose previous best individual finish at the world championships was 13th in the 7.5 km sprint at Oberstdorf in 2005, won golds in the 10 km mass start and 10 km individual normal hill events. His teammate Bill Demong won a gold in the 10 km individual large hill and bronze in the 10 km individual normal hill events. Germans Tino Edelmann and Björn Kircheisen each won a silver in the 4 x 5 km freestyle team event, then won individual silver medals in the 10 km mass start and 10 km individual large hills events, respectively. France's Jason Lamy Chappuis earned two bronze medals, earning them in the 10 km individual large hill and 10 km mass start. Norway's Jan Schmid won a silver in the 10 km mass start and a bronze in the 4 x 5 km freestyle event. A fourth American medal was prevented when Demong was disqualified in the ski jumping part of the 4 x 5 km freestyle team event for failing to wear his bib during competition, dropping the US to 12th and forcing their withdrawal from the cross country portion of the event. The Japanese won their first gold medal at the championships in the team event since 1995 when they edged the Germans in a photo finish. Current World Cup leader Anssi Koivuranta of Finland has a disappointing world championships, earning his best finish of fourth both in the 10 km individual normal hill and 10 km mass start events. Norway's Magnus Moan, second in the World Cup standings, also had a disappointing championships as well, with a best place finish of fifth in the 10 km individual large hill events even though he set the fastest cross-country skiing portion time in both the 10 km individual large hill and the 10 km individual normal hill events.
Alexey Korolev is a Kazakhstani ski jumper who has competed since 2004. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of 12th in the team large hill event at Turin in 2006 while earning his best finish of 39th in the individual large hill event at Vancouver four years later.
Lukáš Hlava is a Czech ski jumper who has competed since 2002. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished seventh in the team large hill event and 38th in the individual normal hill events.
Marco Pichlmayer is an Austrian Nordic combined skier who has competed since 2003. His best World Cup finish was third in a 4 x 5 km team event in Germany in January 2010 while his best individual finish was sixth in a normal hill Gundersen event in France in January 2009.
Andreas Wellinger is a German ski jumper. His career-best achievements include winning an individual gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics, individual silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics, mixed team gold at the 2017 Ski Jumping World Championships, and team silver at the 2016 Ski Flying World Championships. Wellinger's best finish in the World Cup overall standings is fourth, in the 2016/17 season.
