Marcus Coloma (born October 18, 1978 [1] ) is an American actor. He has appeared in multiple TV series and the Hilary Duff film Material Girls . From 2019 to 2023, Coloma portrayed Nikolas Cassadine on the American daytime soap opera General Hospital .

Coloma was born in Middletown, California. [1]

Career

In 2005, Coloma starred in Fox's Point Pleasant as Father Tomas, [1] [2] and played Matt Evans in South Beach in 2006. [3] [4] He has appeared on several television series, including playing Marcus Johnson on The CW drama One Tree Hill in 2006, [1] and portraying Leo Cruz on the ABC Family show, Make It or Break It from 2009 to 2010. [5] [6] Coloma played Father Jonas Alcaraz on Major Crimes in 2017, [7] [8] and portrayed Clark Steedler in False Profits in 2018. [7] [9] [10] He joined scientology in 2005 according to publications on the Scientology website(13)

Coloma played Hilary Duff's love interest in the 2006 film Material Girls . [1] He starred in the Disney films Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (2011) and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 (2012) as Sam. [11] In 2019, he joined the cast of General Hospital in the role of Nikolas Cassadine, [12] playing the role through early 2023. [13]

Laura Spencer (<i>General Hospital</i>) Soap opera character

Laura Spencer is a fictional character from General Hospital, an American soap opera on the ABC network. Laura, originally played by Stacey Baldwin, was introduced in 1974 as the illegitimate daughter of Lesley Webber. The character was written out in the summer of 1976. In early 1977, Genie Francis took over the role of the rebellious teenage Laura. In 1978, thanks to the efforts of executive producer Gloria Monty's plan to entice younger viewers, the character's popularity skyrocketed in the late 1970s and early 1980s due to her pairings with Scott Baldwin and, most famously, Luke Spencer ; the latter became a popular supercouple among soap opera fans and viewers. Luke and Laura's 1981 wedding – which featured a guest appearance from Elizabeth Taylor — was viewed by 30 million people. In 1981, Francis quit the show, claiming unequal treatment compared to Geary, and the character was written out as having disappeared the following January. Nikolas Cassadine is a fictional character from General Hospital, an American soap opera on the ABC network. Originated by actor Tyler Christopher in 1996, he left the show on July 14, 1999. Due to Nikolas' importance on the soap, he was immediately replaced by Coltin Scott on July 20, 1999. Scott left the role on April 16, 2003, as Christopher made his return on April 21, 2003. Chris Beetem temporarily played the role in 2005. Christopher vacated the role on July 28, 2011, after he was let go from the series. Christopher once again reprised the role on a recurring basis in honor of the soaps' fiftieth anniversary; he was later upgraded to a series regular. Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 is a 2011 American comedy film. It is the sequel to 2008's Beverly Hills Chihuahua and the second film in the Beverly Hills Chihuahua series. Directed by Alex Zamm, and starring George Lopez, Odette Yustman and Zachary Gordon, the film focuses on Papi and Chloe, now married with five puppies. The film was released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on February 1, 2011, in a two-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo pack. With the exception of Lopez, none of the actors from the first film reprised their roles.

Valentin Cassadine is a fictional character from General Hospital, an American soap opera on the ABC network. The character was initially conceived in 2009 by head writer Robert Guza Jr., as a previously unknown member of the wealthy Cassadine family looking to wreak havoc on both the Cassadine and Spencer families. However, initial plans for the character's introduction were delayed and completely abandoned by 2010. In 2016, it was announced that All My Children alumnus James Patrick Stuart had joined the cast in the mystery role of Theo – who is revealed to be Valentin. Valentin is known for being the most evil of the Cassadine sons, having been disowned by his father at a very young age. At one point, he poisons his mother Helena.

Lucky Spencer is the son of legendary supercouple, Luke and Laura, played by Anthony Geary and Genie Francis. Elizabeth Webber is the granddaughter of original General Hospital character, Steve Hardy, and long-time character Audrey March Hardy. Lucky was originated by Jonathan Jackson in 1993, who continued to play the role when Rebecca Herbst originated Elizabeth in 1997. Jackson left the series in 1999, and Lucky was played by Jacob Young and later Greg Vaughan, who was let go in 2009 to allow Jackson to reprise the role. Jackson left the series in December 2011 and the role was not recast. Herbst portrayed the couple with each actor, and has been the only contract actress to play Elizabeth.

Britt Westbourne is a fictional character from General Hospital, an American soap opera on the ABC network, portrayed by Kelly Thiebaud. She was introduced by executive producer Frank Valentini on September 19, 2012, as the manipulative love interest for Patrick Drake. In 2014, Thiebaud exited the role, citing her desire to seek work in both film and primetime television. She reprised the role on several occasions, between 2015 and 2018, for limited-run guest appearances. In March 2020, Thiebaud returned for another guest stint; by September of the same year, she returned to the role once more.
