    Jackson committed to Texas Christian University on January 31, 2005. [1] He choose TCU over football scholarships from Baylor, Houston, Louisiana Tech & Louisiana–Lafayette. [2]

    College career

    Jackson redshirted his freshman year at TCU, before finding himself as the back up to Jeff Ballard during his redshirt-freshman season. In 2007, Jackson was giving the opportunity to compete for the starting quarterback job, but lost the battle to Andy Dalton. [3] Jackson spent the duration of his career as a backup to Dalton, with the exception of starting two games in 2008 during a Dalton injury.

    Professional career

    Wichita Wild

    Jackson signed to play indoor football for the Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the 2012 season. Jackson helped the Wild finish with an 8-6 record during the regular season, after the team started 0-4. Jackson threw for 19 touchdowns, as well as running in 3 more touchdowns. [5]

    Texas Revolution

    Jackson played the 2013 indoor season with the expansion Texas Revolution, also of the IFL. [6] The Revolution finished a disappointing 5-9.

    San Antonio Talons

    Jackson was signed by the San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League just days prior to the Talon's final game of the season. Following practice, Jackson was named the backup to Robert Kent, but with Kent struggling during the game, Jackson came in for Kent, rushing for 3 touchdowns and throwing for another, upsetting the Philadelphia Soul.     Wichita Falls Nighthawks

    In November 2014, Jackson signed with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks of the IFL. [8]

    The Indoor Football League (IFL) is a professional indoor American football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. It has one of the largest number of currently active teams among indoor football leagues. The league has operated continuously under the same name and corporate structure longer than any other current indoor football league.

    Cedar Rapids River Kings

    The Cedar Rapids River Kings were a professional indoor football team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The River Kings joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) as an expansion team in 2011 as the Cedar Rapids Titans and first took the field for the 2012 season.

    The 2012 Indoor Football League season was the fourth season of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The league lost nine of its previous teams but gained three new teams. The three new teams were the Cedar Rapids Titans, New Mexico Stars and the Everett Raptors. The season kicked off on February 19, 2012, when the Chicago Slaughter beat the Bloomington Edge 50–34. For the 2012 season, the IFL switched to a two-conference format with no divisions, due, in large part, to the loss of all the Texas-based teams to the newly formed Lone Star Football League. The Wranglers brought attention to the league for offering a US$500,000 contract to unemployed wide receiver Terrell Owens to become the team's part-owner and wide receiver. Owens accepted the contract. ESPN3 carried Owens's debut game against the Wichita Wild. The front office of the league saw changes as well, as Commissioner Tommy Benizio resigned. The league appointed assistant commissioner Robert Loving as the interim Commissioner.

    Chris Dixon II is a professional indoor football player who is currently signed with the Sioux Falls Storm. He is also a former head coach. He ended his long playing career with a stint as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL) before returning to the Sioux Falls Storm (IFL) near the end of their 2019 season. Dixon attended Contra Costa College for two years before attending Humboldt State University, where he was an All-conference player.

Players are paid $75 – $300 per game before taxes with no other benefits.

    Wichita Falls Nighthawks

    The Wichita Falls Nighthawks were a professional indoor American football team. They were based in Wichita Falls, Texas. The team was headquartered in Wichita Falls and played its home games at Kay Yeager Coliseum. The Nighthawks first joined the Indoor Football League as an expansion team in 2015. The Nighthawks were announced as a member of Champions Indoor Football (CIF) for 2018, however, due to litigation, the team ceased operations for the season.

He has also been a member of the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Alouettes, Birmingham/Alabama Steeldogs, Lubbock Renegades, Toronto Argonauts, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, Abilene Ruff Riders, Houston Stallions, Corpus Christi Fury, San Antonio Talons, St. Louis Attack, Texas Revolution, Dallas Marshals, Monterrey Steel, Massachusetts Pirates, and Duke City Gladiators. He also was the head coach of the Duke City Gladiators in the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the remainder of the 2021 season.

    The 2015 Indoor Football League season was the seventh season of the Indoor Football League. Playing with ten teams in two conferences located in mid-sized cities predominately in the central United States, the league's regular season kicked off on February 28, 2015, when the reigning league champion Sioux Falls Storm travelled to the Bemidji Axemen. The regular season ended 16 weeks later on June 20, 2015, with the Green Bay Blizzard visiting the Iowa Barnstormers. The playoffs were held in two rounds with the top two teams in each conference facing off in a conference championship game followed by the winners of those games meeting in the United Bowl.
