Biddeford is a city in York County, Maine, United States. It is the principal commercial center of York County. Its population was 22,552 at the 2020 census. The twin cities of Saco and Biddeford include the resort communities of Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rocks. The town is the site of the University of New England and the annual La Kermesse Franco-Americaine Festival. First visited by Europeans in 1616, it is the site of one of the earliest European settlements in the United States. It is home to Saint Joseph's Church, the tallest building in Maine.

Linda M. Valentino is an American politician from Maine. Valentino is a Democratic State Senator from Maine's 5th District, representing part of York County, including her residence of Saco. She was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2004 and re-elected in 2006, 2008 and 2010. Unable to run for re-election to the Maine House in 2012 due to term limits, Valentino ran in the Democratic primary for the open District 5 State Senate seat to replace fellow Democrat Barry Hobbins. Valentino won the nomination by beating fellow State Representative Donald Pilon. Valentino easily won the general election, defeating Timothy Sevigny. In December 2012, Valentino was named Chair of the Judiciary Committee.

The Old Saco High School, also formerly the Sweetser School, is a historic former school building on Spring Street in Saco, Maine. Built in 1871–72, it is a late work of the noted Portland architect George M. Harding, and one of the city's finest Victorian public buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and now houses apartments.
Rachel Talbot Ross is an American politician and activist. A Democrat from Portland, Talbot has been the Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives since December 2022. When she was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016, Talbot Ross became the first Black woman to serve in the Maine Legislature. Talbot Ross represents District 40, consisting of the Parkside, Bayside, East Bayside, and Oakdale neighborhoods of Portland as well as the University of Southern Maine campus. She became Maine's first African-American House Speaker, and the highest-ranking African-American politician in Maine history, when she was elected speaker on December 7, 2022.
Stacy Fielding Brenner is an American Democratic politician, registered nurse, small business owner and organic farmer. She currently represents Maine State Senate District 30, consisting of the towns of Bar Mills, Gorham, Scarborough, and part of Buxton, and co-owns and operates Broadturn Farm in Scarborough.
Nathan Michael Carlow is an American Republican politician and state legislator from Maine. Carlow represents Maine House District 137, including the towns of Hollis and Buxton. During his first term from 2020-2022, Carlow was the youngest member of the Maine House.
Anne Carney is an American Democratic politician and attorney from Maine. She currently serves in the Maine Senate representing District 29, which consists of Cape Elizabeth, South Portland, and part of Scarborough. Carney was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Haverford College where she received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). She completed a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S) from Harvard University in 1987 and moved to Maine in 1988. Carney completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Maine School of Law in 1990 and practiced employment, civil rights and municipal law for 16 years. She was a pro bono In-House Volunteer Attorney at Pine Tree Legal Assistance for eight years before running for Maine House of Representatives District 30 in 2018. In 2020, Carney was elected to her first term in the Maine Senate.
Donna Bailey is an American politician and attorney from Maine. A Democrat, she serves in the Maine Senate representing District 31, which includes her residence in Saco, as well as the towns of Old Orchard Beach, Hollis, Limington and part of Buxton. Bailey grew up in Berlin, New Hampshire, and attended Berlin High School, Bates College and the University of Maine School of Law. She worked in real estate law, family law and probate law in private practice and was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016. In 2020, Bailey was elected to her first term in the Maine Senate.
Lynn Copeland is a state representative in the Maine House of Representatives, representing the 130th district.
