Margarita is a municipality in Vera Department, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. The municipality was created on January 31, 1899. It is located 229 km from the provincial capital, Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz. As of 2010, the town of Margarita has 5,100 residents.

Rancho Santa Margarita is a city in Orange County, California, United States. One of Orange County's youngest cities, Rancho Santa Margarita is a master-planned community. The population was 47,853 at the 2010 census, up from 47,214 at the 2000 census. Although it is named for Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores, which was in San Diego County, the city limits fall within the borders of Rancho Mission Viejo. At 20 characters long, it is the longest city name in California.

The Margarita Belén Massacre took place during the Dirty War in Argentina. It involved the torture and execution of 22 Montoneros, some of whom were killed after surrendering and laying down their weapons near the town of Margarita Belén, Chaco Province, on 13 December 1976, in a joint operation of the Argentine Army and the Chaco Provincial Police. One of the victims of the massacre, Néstor Carlos Salas, is reported to have been a Montoneros commander and took part in a number of guerrilla operations. Santa Fe is a former railway station located in the city of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz in Santa Fe Province, Argentina. Having been closed in March 1993 after the Government of Argentina closed all the long-distance services in Argentina, the station was reopened by the local Municipality as a convention center.
