Margus Lepik (born 14 March 1969, in Valga) is an Estonian politician. He was a member of XI Riigikogu, representing the Estonian Reform Party. [1] From 1999 until 2007, he was the mayor of Valga. From 2010 until 2017, he was the governor of Valga County. From 2017 until 2020, he was the mayor of Valga Parish. [1]

Marko Mihkelson is an Estonian journalist and politician representing the liberal Reform Party in the Parliament of Estonia. Mihkelson was born in Valga, and was first elected to the parliament in 2003 as a member of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union. He has served in parliament since 2003 as a Chair of Foreign Affairs Committee, Chair of EU Affairs Committee and Chair of National Defense Committee. On 26 June 2017, he and the former leader of the party Margus Tsahkna announced that they were leaving the party. Mihkelson went on to continue as an independent politician, until joining the Reform Party in September 2018.
Electoral district no. 11 is one of the 12 multi-member electoral districts of the Riigikogu, the national legislature of Estonia. The district was established in 1992 when the Riigikogu was re-established following Estonia's independence from the Soviet Union. It was renamed electoral district no. 10 in 1995 following the re-organisation of electoral districts but reverted to electoral district no. 11 in 2003. It is conterminous with the counties of Põlva, Valga and Võru. The district currently elects eight of the 101 members of the Riigikogu using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 parliamentary election it had 70,706 registered electors.

In 1944, he served as Governor of Võru County for a short period. As the Red Army was approaching, he went into exile.

He again served as Governor of Valga County from 1941 until 1943, during the German occupation of Estonia and within the framework of the Estonian Self-Administration of Generalbezirk Estland. He was imprisoned by Soviet authorities from 1944 until 1954.
