Jose Mari Kaimo (born January 21, 1960, in Manila, Philippines) is a veteran Filipino journalist, news anchor, host, television personality, actor, and voice-over artist. [1] [2]
Kaimo started as a news reporter at the height of the Ferdinand Marcos dictatorship. After the EDSA People Power Revolution, he anchored various newscasts on different TV stations including People's Television Network, GMA Network, ABS-CBN and its sister channel, Studio 23.
He co-hosted for Vilma Santos' show Vilma! in 1989, and some years later, shows such as The Global Filipino on TFC and The Correspondents on ABS-CBN. Kaimo also anchored News Central on Studio 23 from its inception in September 1998 until June 2007.
Since 2007, he is currently one of the regular hosts of the television program The 700 Club Asia, the Philippine franchise of the American program of the same name produced by CBN Asia. [3] [4]
Kaimo is also a voice-over artist, who narrated for some advertisements and AVPs.
He's been writing Christian apologetics posts in his blog site, ApoLogika in 2013.
Kaimo pursued an acting career in late 2016, where he mostly appeared in ABS-CBN and sometimes GMA.

The Filipino Channel, commonly known as TFC, is a global subscription television network owned and operated by the Philippine media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation. Its programming is composed primarily of imported programs produced and distributed by ABS-CBN Studios and ABS-CBN News, targeting the Filipino diaspora. Available globally on various television platforms, TFC launched on September 24, 1994, and was the world's first trans-Pacific Asian broadcaster.
TV Patrol is a Philippine television news broadcasting show broadcast by ABS-CBN, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, All TV, ABS-CBN News Channel, and TeleRadyo Serbisyo. Originally anchored by Noli de Castro, Mel Tiangco and Robert Arevalo, it premiered on March 2, 1987 on the network's primetime slot replacing Balita Ngayon. De Castro, Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano, and Henry Omaga-Diaz currently serve as the anchors. It is the longest running Filipino-language news broadcasting show.
ABS-CBN was a Philippine commercial broadcast network that served as the flagship property of the ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under Lopez Holdings Corporation owned by the López family. The network is headquartered at the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Quezon City, that had additional offices and production facilities in 25 major cities including Baguio, Naga, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Davao, and Bulacan, where ABS-CBN's production and post-production facility in Horizon IT Park is located. ABS-CBN is colloquially referred to as the Kapamilya Network; its brand was originally introduced in 1999 and was officially introduced in 2003 during the celebration of its 50th anniversary, and was used until it was forced by the National Telecommunications Commission to cease and desist from free-to-air broadcasting due to the lack of congressional franchise. ABS-CBN is the largest media company in the Philippines and is the oldest television broadcaster in Southeast Asia. The network is metonymically called as "Ignacia" due to the location of its headquarters ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center along Mother Ignacia Street in Quezon City.
The Correspondents is a Philippine weekly investigative documentary show aired on ABS-CBN. Originally hosted by Mari Kaimo, Jim Libiran, Aljo Bendijo, Erwin Tulfo, Cheryl Cosim, Cherie Mercado and Korina Sanchez, it aired from November 10, 1998 to October 19, 2010, replacing The Inside Story and was replaced by Patrol ng Pilipino. Karen Davila, Abner Mercado, Bernadette Sembrano and Alex Santos served as the final hosts. It brought an in-depth look at the lives of people as they lived, going through hardships and celebrating their joys. "Ang Huling Pagtatanghal" served as the show's show episode. The show aired for 11 years and 11 months, making it the longest-running weekly investigative documentary show in the Philippines.
