Azua is an honors graduate from the University of Puerto Rico With a bachelor's degree in math and physics. Her masters in computer science is from the University of Miami and her MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Maria holds a Doctorate in Computer Science from Pace University. [3] [4]
In 2006, Azua was inducted into the Women In Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame [3] and named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” by People Magazine. It was founded by Carolyn Leighton in 1989 as the International Network of Women in Technology. It was renamed to the WITI Professional Association in 2001 when it acted as a trade association for women in technology.

Linda S. Sanford is an American technology executive. She worked at IBM prior to her retirement on December 31, 2014, where she was the senior vice president of Enterprise Transformation. Her previous positions at IBM included senior vice president and group executive in the company's Storage Systems Group and general manager of the S/390 Division. She was inducted into the Women in Technology Hall of Fame in 1996. She was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 1997 for computer product development including transformation from hierarchical mainframes to more robust enterprise network server architectures. She graduated from St. John’s University, from which she also holds an honorary doctorate; she also holds a M.S. in operations research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2018, St. John's University dedicated a new computer lab, called the Sanford Family Cyber Security Lab, in honor of Sanford and her family.
Rhonda Childress is an IBM Fellow Vice President of GTS. She has earned the title of being the first Services woman to be called an IBM Master Inventor, Security Fellow, and the first Fellow from a predominantly African-American college from spending her whole career in SO. She was also the first IBM fellow from a Historical Black University. Childress is a prolific inventor with over 200 patents, 130 of which are related to the management of systems, cyber security, mobile, aircraft, and IoT. In 2018, she was inducted into the WITI Hall of Fame for her efforts in her career at IBM. Childress is one of 25 female IBM fellow in IBM's history.
