Leonid Makarovych Kravchuk was a Ukrainian politician and the first president of Ukraine, serving from 5 December 1991 until 19 July 1994. The title is granted to two different order recipients: the civilian Order of the State, and the military Order of the Gold Star. The first foreigner awarded the award was Belarusian Mykhailo Zhyznevskyi in June 2017.
