Mariam Bukamal is a Bahraini sports commentator, anchor, television and radio personality.
Bukamal joined the Information Affairs Authority while she was in fourth grade to host Rokn Al Atphal, a radio program.
Her television career started when she presented Youth Time with Ali Hussein. She was an English teacher, [ citation needed ] before she joined the News Center[ which? ] as a sports anchor, and in 2011 became chief editor of the sports bulletin news.[ clarification needed ] She started presenting variety shows through the Weekend program, which soon became a hit show. She then presented the Ramadan competition show Albarastii, which gained success due in part to the spontaneous of the show and the use of Bahraini slang instead of classical Arabic. She became known as one of the best announcers, distinguished by her spontaneous performance style, and she joined Al-Kass Sports Channel in March 2013 until November 2016 when she returned to Bahrain TV as Head of Sport Department in News Directorate and then in 2018 she became the head of Bahrain Sports channel. In December 2019 she was appointed as Director of Creativity & E-Media Directorate. [1] [2] [3]

Eid al-Fitr is the earlier of the two official holidays celebrated within Islam. Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide because it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar; this does not always fall on the same Gregorian day, as the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on when the new moon is sighted by local religious authorities. The holiday is known under various other names in different languages and countries around the world. The day is also known as the First Eid or as the Lesser Eid by some Muslim communities.
Orbit Communications Company was a privately owned pay television network headquartered in Bahrain. Owned by Saudi Arabia–based Mawarid Holding, it was the first fully digital, multi-channel, multilingual, pay television service in the Middle East and North Africa and was also the world's first fully end-to-end digital TV network. Launched in 1994, it was originally situated in Tor Sapienza, Rome, Italy as the location was considered entirely suitable to build a satellite farm. Orbit employed around 600 employees who were largely a combination of British and Italian staff with several Arabic speaking nations also represented. Orbit broadcast in several languages around the world including English, Arabic, French and Filipino.

Spacetoon is a pan-Arab free-to-air television channel that specializes in animation and children programs. It began broadcasting on 15 March 2000 in Damascus, and it is currently headquartered in Dubai. The channel targets children from 4 and up. Bahrain: Shouting in the Dark is a television documentary film produced by Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera English about the 2011 Bahraini uprising. The film was first screened on 4 August 2011, featuring footage recorded during protests and police crackdowns, interviews with activists and physicians, as well as footage broadcast by Bahraini state television.

Television in Qatar is very much state-influenced and operated. Official Qatar TV began producing and transmitting its own programmes in 1970, with colour transmission since 1974. It had a monopoly on television audience until 1993, when Qatar Cablevision began broadcasting satellite channels. The media of Bahrain mainly consists of several weekly and daily newspapers, with the Information Affairs Authority controlling Bahrain's state-owned Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation, which broadcasts radio and television services. The media is predominantly in Arabic though English language and Malayalam newspapers are beginning to emerge in the country. The IAA also controls the Bahrain News Agency which monitors, originates and relays national and international news in Arabic and English, usually generating from 90 to 150 stories a day. Bahrain Telecommunication Company, trading as Batelco, is Bahrain's sole Internet service provider. In 2015, there were an estimated 1.29 million internet user, a penetration of 96.4%.

Hassan Salman Kamal is a Bahraini poet and broadcaster. He was born in Manama. He started working for the Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation (BRTC) in 1959, rising from an editor and broadcaster up to the directorship until his retirement in 1988. He held the position of Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters. He has also published several books of poetry and songs.

Bahrain Youth Radio, or 98.4 Shabab, is a Bahraini radio channel affiliated with the Bahrain Radio and Television Corporation. Launched on February 14, 2010, it takes its frequency and name from the percentage of votes in favor of the National Action Charter of Bahrain that established limited constitutional rule in 2001.
