Marian Rose (1933-1970) was an international motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. [1]

Speedway career

Rose won a gold medal in the Speedway World Team Cup in the 1966 Speedway World Team Cup. [2] He was killed in a race at the Stal Rzeszów Speedway Circuit on 19 April 1970, following a combination of hitting his head when falling off his bike and another rider crashing into him at the same time.

Ove Fundin is a Swedish former professional motorcycle speedway rider. He competed in the Speedway World Championships from 1951 to 1970. Fundin is notable for winning the Speedway World Championship Final five times, a record bettered only by Ivan Mauger and fellow Swede Tony Rickardsson who each won six World Championships. Motoarena Toruń im. Mariana Rosego is a multi-use stadium in Toruń, Poland. It is currently used mostly for motorcycle speedway matches and it is used for car racing and concerts and it is the home stadium of KST Unibax Toruń in the Speedway Ekstraliga. The stadium has a capacity of 15,500 people and was opened on 3 May 2009. It is named after Marian Rose, former speedway rider from Toruń.
