Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa, where the African Great Lakes region and East Africa converge. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is highly elevated, giving it the soubriquet "land of a thousand hills", with its geography dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the east, with numerous lakes throughout the country. The climate is temperate to subtropical, with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons each year. Rwanda has a population of over 12.6 million living on 26,338 km2 (10,169 sq mi) of land, and is the most densely populated mainland African country; among countries larger than 10,000 km2, it is the fifth most densely populated country in the world. One million people live in the capital and largest city Kigali.
The economy of Rwanda has undergone rapid industrialisation due to a successful governmental policy. Since the early-2000s, Rwanda has witnessed an economic boom, which improved the living standards of many Rwandans. The Government's progressive visions have been the catalyst for the fast transforming economy. The President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has noted his ambition to make Rwanda the "Singapore of Africa".
Kigali is the capital and largest city of Rwanda. It is near the nation's geographic centre in a region of rolling hills, with a series of valleys and ridges joined by steep slopes. The city has been Rwanda's economic, cultural, and transport hub since it became the capital following independence from Belgian rule in 1962.
Nyanza, also known as Nyabisindu, is a town located in Nyanza District in the Southern Province of Rwanda. Nyanza is the capital of the Southern Province.
The five provinces of Rwanda are divided into 30 districts. Each district is in turn divided into sectors, which are in turn divided into cells, which are in turn divided into villages.
Maraba coffee is grown in the Maraba area of southern Rwanda. Maraba's coffee plants are the Bourbon variety of the Coffea arabica species and are grown on fertile volcanic soils on high-altitude hills. The fruit is handpicked, mostly during the rainy season between March and May, and brought to a washing station in Maraba, where the coffee beans are extracted and dried. At several stages, the beans are sorted according to quality. The farmers receive credits based on the amount and quality of the beans they provide.
Maraba is a region in southern Rwanda. It used to be a district in the Butare Province before a government decentralization programme that re-organized the country's administrative divisions in 2006. It is now a sector of the Huye District in the Southern Province. The closest major city is Butare.
Rayon Sports Football Club is an association football club from Nyanza, Southern province, Rwanda, now based in Kigali. The team currently competes in the Rwanda National Football League, and plays its home games at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali and Kigali Stadium, Nyamirambo. For some years, its daily operations were held in the southern province in Nyanza District. They've won 9 Rwandan Premier League titles, the 2nd most Premier League titles. Throughout its history, the club has won 9 Rwandan Cups, 1 CECAFA Clubs' Cup, 9 peace Cups, 3 Agaciro Cups, 2 Intwali Cups and a Kigali 100 Years' Cup and 1 Father Fraipont memorial tournament. The blues of Rwanda are said to have more than 80% of Football fans in the country, which makes it the most popular team in Rwanda and the only competent citizen-owned club in the country of a thousand hills.
Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs Football Club, commonly known as Mukura Victory Sports or simply Mukura, is an association football club from Butare, Rwanda. Founded in May 1963, the club currently competes in the Rwanda Premier League and plays its home games at Stade Huye.
Nyanza is a district (akarere) in Southern Province, Republic of Rwanda. Its capital is Nyanza town, which is also the provincial capital. Nyanza is a Bantu word meaning lake, which probably refers to the small body of water created by a dam to the west of Nyanza town and sometimes referred to by the local residents as “Ikiyaga” or lake. which probably refers to a large lake to the west of Nyanza city.

Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Caraes Ndera, or simply Caraes Ndera Hospital, is a referral hospital in Rwanda that provides specialized healthcare in psychiatry and neurology. Founded in 1968, the hospital is located in Ndera Sector, Gasabo District in City of Kigali. The hospital is owned by the Congregation of the Brothers of Charity in partnership with the Government Rwanda, with the Government supporting the hospital in human resource and administrative matters, and the congregation assuring the management of the hospital. Following its inauguration, Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital CARAES Ndera established two branches; CARAES Butare in Huye District, Southern Province in 1976 and Icyizere Psychotherapeutic Centre, in Kicukiro District, City of Kigali in 2003. The most prevalent pathology in psychiatry department at the hospital is schizophrenia, while the predominant pathology in neurology department is epilepsy.
Marie Claire Mukasine is a Rwandan lawyer, politician and civil servant. From 2011 to 2019 she was a member of the Senate of Rwanda, and has served as a permanent secretary in Rwanda's Ministry of Infrastructure. In 2020 she was appointed Chairperson of the National Commission for Human Rights in Rwanda (NHCR).
