Marine Parade is an independent record label set up and owned by the electronic music DJ and producer Adam Freeland in 1998.
The name of the label originates from the street on which Freeland used to live in his hometown of Brighton, United Kingdom.
The label released Evil Nine's You Can Be Special Too album in 2004.
The imprint's output has spanned everything from classic dance-music anthems like Freeland's We Want Your Soul and ILS' Next Level to Jape's space-folk hit Floating.
Marine Parade has released electronic albums such as Freeland's Now&Them, Evil Nine's You Can Be Special Too, and ILS' Soul Trader. Many remixes have been commissioned from other dance-music acts, like Prins Thomas, Switch and D.I.M, and featured collaborations with Aesop Rock, Josh Wink and Tom Middleton.
Marine Parade has launched new talent, having helped the career of Australian band Infusion, Richard File (as Forme), and Damian Taylor (as Stone Lions). 2008 saw the second album from Evil Nine They Live.
The second Freeland artist album Cope™ was released on the label in 2009, featuring contributions from Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe, Alex Metric and Twiggy Ramirez amongst others. A double disc Cope™ Remixed compilation was released at the end of the year with remixes covering myriad genre, from Joker, Gui Boratto, Emalkay, Prins Thomas and Siriusmo. The label also released the debut album of PANTyRAiD (Ooah of Glitch Mob and MartyParty).
In 2010 Marine Parade released a single by Freeland titled "How To Fake Your Own Life", which included a remix by Om Unit. [1]

The Crystal Method is an American electronic music act formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, by Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland in the early 1990s. They were pioneers of the big beat genre. The Crystal Method's music has appeared in numerous TV shows, films, video games, and advertisements. Their debut studio album Vegas was certified platinum in 2007, and saw follow-ups Tweekend, Legion of Boom, Divided by Night, and The Crystal Method. In 2017, Ken Jordan retired from music and left the group, with Scott Kirkland adopting The Crystal Method as a solo moniker.

He is also the owner and creative director of the record label Marine Parade, which has released material by artists including Evil Nine, ILS, Alex Metric and Jape. Born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, he first began DJing in 1991, originally mixing deep house and later drum and bass. After becoming an in-demand DJ around Britain, he released his first mix album Coastal Breaks (1996) and formed the electronic music duo Tsunami One with Kevin Beber. From 1999 to 2001, Freeland hosted a show on Friday night on London's Kiss 100 FM. In 2000, he released his debut studio album, Now & Them.

Nu skool breaks is a subgenre of breakbeat originating during the period between 1998 and 2002. The style is usually characterized by more abstract, more technical sounds, sometimes incorporated from other genres of electronic dance music, including UK garage, electro, and drum and bass. Typically, tracks ranged between 125 and 140 beats per minute (bpm), often featuring a dominant bass line. In contrast with big beat, another subgenre of breakbeat, the sound set consisted less of hip hop samples and acid-type sounds, instead emphasizing dance-friendliness and "new" sounds produced by modern production techniques using synthesizers, effect processors, and computers.

The Slips are a UK electronic music duo, composed of David Treahearn and Rob Haggett. James Cooper is the duo's live drummer and regularly DJs in The Slips' Australasian club sets. He is also co-founder of London-based record label Rekids, which he formed in 2006 with James Masters. Rekids is also mother label to the REK'D and Pyramids of Mars imprints.
