Mario He (Born 3 August 1993, Rankweil, Austria) is an Austrian professional pool player. He is a former winner of the European Pool Championships, and winner of both the 2017 and 2019 World Cup of Pool events alongside Albin Ouschan.
He has won six Euro Tour events, the first in 2016, at the North Cyprus Open 2016, and later the 2017 Austrian Open, and in 2018 both the 2018 Veldhoven Open, and 2018 Klagenfurt Open, and 2019 Veldhoven Open and 2022 Italian Open. [1] [2] With six victories overall, He is in the top 6 winners of Euro Tour events. He competed in the 2023 US Open 8 and 10 ball event placing 2nd to Fedor Gorst. Mario has the nickname of "The Panda" which was given to him by his teammate Albin Ouschan.
He was set to represent Europe for the first time at the 2018 Mosconi Cup, however, he withdrew from the team, due to a failed drugs test. [3] Having previously reached the final of the 9-ball 2011 European Pool Championships, [4] He won the 2012 European Pool Championships in 8-Ball defeating Artem Koschowyj of Ukraine in the final. [5] He won the final in an 8–0 whitewash. [6]
In 2017, alongside Albin Ouschan, He won the 2017 World Cup of Pool. [7] Entering the tournament as second seeds, the team defeated Sweden (7–5), Russia (7–2), England (9–7) and third seed China (9–1) on route to the final. [8] In the final, they played the USA team of Shane Van Boening, and Skyler Woodward, who defeated the first seeded team of Chinese Taipei in the semi-final. The Austrian team prevailed in the final, winning the final 10–6. [9]
On September 29, 2024 Carlo Biado won the inaugural Ho Chi Minh City Open Championship in Ho Xuan Huong Gymnasium, Vietnam, defeating He of Austria 13–8. [10]
Outside of pool, He is also a chess player, where he was a young state champion. [11] [12]
Nick van den Berg is a Dutch professional pool player. He was the runner up at the 2005 WPA World Eight-ball Championship, where he lost to Wu Chia-ching 11–5 in the final. He is a multiple time winner of events on the Euro Tour, winning 10 tournaments between 2002 and 2017, the fourth highest in the history of the tour. A six-time winner of the European Pool Championships, Van den Berg has represented Europe at the Mosconi Cup on eight occasions, winning the event on six occasions as well as tying the event in 2006.
Carlo Biado is a Filipino professional pool player. His highest profile wins include the World Nine-ball Championship and the World Ten-ball Championship in 2017 and 2024 respectively.
Albin Alois Ouschan is an Austrian professional pool player. Ouschan was the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, as well as the runner-up in 2014. He also won the 14.1 Continuous European championship the same year. Ouschan is a multiple time Austrian champion in 8-ball, ten-ball and straight pool. Ouschan alongside partner Mario He won both the 2017 World Cup of Pool, 2019 World Cup of Pool and reached the final of the 2018 World Cup of Pool. They would lose 10–3 to the Chinese team of Wu Jia-qing & Liu Haitao. He won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship for the second time in 2021, beating Omar Al-Shaheen 13–9 in the final. He won the International Open in 2021, defeating Dennis Orcollo 13–6 in the final.
Joshua Filler is a German professional pool player from Bönen, Germany. In 2018 Filler defeated Carlo Biado 13–10 to win the 2018 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. In 2017 he was the youngest player to win the China Open, and in 2018 he also won the 10-ball European Pool Championships. Filler became WPA and Euro Tour world number 1 in 2019, and later he reached the final of the 2019 WPA World Ten-ball Championship before losing 10–7 to Ko Ping-chung.
Alexander Kazakis is a Greek professional pool player. Kazakis is a former European 10-ball champion, and regular 9-ball player. In 2018, he was the number one ranked player by the World Pool-Billiard Association.
The 2011 European Pool Championships was a series of professional pool championships that took place at the Steel Palace, in Brandenburg, Germany. The events were played between 23 March and 3 April 2011 were part of the European Pool Championships; and featured events for men, women and wheelchair players across four pool disciplines: straight Pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, and ten-ball. The tournament was hosted by the European Pocket Billiard Federation and organised by the International Billiard Promotion, with the final of the men's nine-ball event broadcast on Eurosport. Austria was the most successful nation, winning three events – all by Jasmin Ouschan. Jouni Tähti won two of the three wheelchair events, losing just one match in the final of the nine-ball tournament to Henrik Larsson.
The 2018 Dynamic Billiard Treviso Open, was the first Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Albania's Eklent Kaçi who defeated Austria's Albin Ouschan 9–5 in the final. This was Kaci's first Euro Tour victory.
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open 2018 was the third Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Austria's Mario He who defeated Albania's Eklent Kaçi 9–8 in the final. By making the final, Eklent had made the semifinal or better of four straight events.
The Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open 2018 was the fifth and penultimate Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Austria's Mario He who defeated England's Mark Gray 9–8 in the final. This was He's 4th championship, and second of the Euro Tour season - having already won the 2018 Veldhoven Open.
Wiktor Zieliński is a Polish professional pool player. He is the youngest player to ever win a Euro Tour event, winning the 2017 Treviso Open at the age of 16.
The 2017 Dynamic Portugal Open, was the second Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2017. The event was won by Netherlands' Nick van den Berg who defeated Spain's David Alcaide 9–5 in the final. In winning the event, van den Berg won his tenth Euro Tour event.
The 2019 Treviso Open was a nine-ball pool tournament, and the second Euro Tour event of the 2019 season. The event was held from 8 to 11 May 2019, at the Best Western Premier BHR Treviso Hotel in Treviso, Italy. The event had a total prize pool of €38,000 with the winner of each event receiving €4,500. The event followed the Leende Open, and preceded the Austria Open.

The event was held from 13 to 16 June 2019, at the Alpina, Wellness & Sporthotel in Sankt Johann im Pongau, Austria. The event followed the Treviso Open, won by Poland's Konrad Juszczyszyn, and preceded the Veldhoven Open.

The 2019 Veldhoven Open, officially known as the 2019 Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open, was a professional nine-ball pool tournament and the fourth Euro Tour event of 2019. It was held at the NH Koningshof in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The men's event was held from 1 to 3 August, and the women's event was held from 2 to 4 August. The event followed the Austria Open and preceded the Klagenfurt Open.

The event was the sixth and final Euro Tour event of 2019, following the Klagenfurt Open. The men's event was won by Estonia's Denis Grabe, who won his third Tour win, defeating Eklent Kaçi 9–2. The women's event was won by Poland's Oliwia Zalewska, who won her first Tour event. She defeated Tina Vogelmann in the final 7–6.
