European Pool Championship (also called Dynamic European Championships) is a pool competition organized by the European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF). The tournament is held annually since 1980. [1] It should not be confused with the series of smaller events known as the Euro Tour, also run by the EPBF.
Current disciplines include 8-ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, Straight pool, and team events), and for different age and ability ranges, with events for men, women, juniors and wheelchair players. [2]
Gerda Hofstätter Gergerson, nicknamed "G-Force", is an Austrian professional pool player. Hofstätter won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship in 1995. She is a winner at the European Pool Championship on nine occasions, and won the Austrian national Championship seventeen times. Hofstätter is a two-time Hall of Fame inductee being voted into both the Women's Professional Billiard Association and Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fames in the Greatest Players Category. Hofstätter was the Austrian Sportswoman of the Year for Carinthia in 1993. Hofstätter played on the WPBA Tour until her retirement, doing so from 1993 onward.
Nick van den Berg is a Dutch professional pool player. He was the runner up at the 2005 WPA World Eight-ball Championship, where he lost to Wu Chia-ching 11–5 in the final. He is a multiple time winner of events on the Euro Tour, winning 10 tournaments between 2002 and 2017, the fourth highest in the history of the tour. A six-time winner of the European Pool Championships, Van den Berg has represented Europe at the Mosconi Cup on eight occasions, winning the event on six occasions as well as tying the event in 2006.
Joshua Filler is a German professional pool player from Bönen, Germany. In 2018 Filler defeated Carlo Biado 13–10 to win the 2018 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. In 2017 he was the youngest player to win the China Open, and in 2018 he also won the 10-ball European Pool Championships. Filler became WPA and Euro Tour world number 1 in 2019, and later he reached the final of the 2019 WPA World Ten-ball Championship before losing 10–7 to Ko Ping-chung.
Denis Grabe, is an Estonian professional pool player. Grabe reached semifinal in Las Vegas 10-ball World Championships losing to Nayouki OI 2-3 in sets, he beat Aloysious Yapp in Last 16 and Fransisco Sanchez in Last 8 to achieve a bronze medal. Grabe reached the quarter-final of the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship, before losing to Cheng Yu-hsuan 11–3. Grabe won two consecutive Euro Tour tournaments in a row in 2014, at the Austria Open, and Slovenian Open. In 2018, he also reached the final of the 2018 Sankt Johann im Pongau Open, losing the final 9–5 to Alexander Kazakis.
The Euro Tour is a series of professional pool events set around Europe, founded in 1992, and created by the European Pocket Billiard Federation. The Tour's first event was the Belgium Open, held on May 29 – 31, 1992. The event was won by Mika Immonen.
The 2011 European Pool Championships was a series of professional pool championships that took place at the Steel Palace, in Brandenburg, Germany. The events were played between 23 March and 3 April 2011 were part of the European Pool Championships; and featured events for men, women and wheelchair players across four pool disciplines: straight Pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, and ten-ball. The tournament was hosted by the European Pocket Billiard Federation and organised by the International Billiard Promotion, with the final of the men's nine-ball event broadcast on Eurosport. Austria was the most successful nation, winning three events – all by Jasmin Ouschan. Jouni Tähti won two of the three wheelchair events, losing just one match in the final of the nine-ball tournament to Henrik Larsson.
Francisco Diaz-Pizarro is a Spanish professional pool player. Diaz-Pizarro is a two time European champion winning the 9-Ball event in 2013 and 2015. In 2015, he also received a runners-up medal in the 10-Ball event, losing in the final to Greece's Alexander Kazakis.
The Dynamic Billard Klagenfurt Open 2018 was the fifth and penultimate Euro Tour 9-Ball pool event in 2018. The event was won by Austria's Mario He who defeated England's Mark Gray 9–8 in the final. This was He's 4th championship, and second of the Euro Tour season - having already won the 2018 Veldhoven Open.
The Dynamic Billard Leende Open 2019 was a nine-ball pool tournament, and the first Euro Tour event of 2019. The event was held between 7–10 February 2019, at the Golden Tulip Jagershorst hotel in Leende, Netherlands. The event was won by Germany's Joshua Filler, who defeated Ruslan Chinakhov 9–7 in the final. This was Filler's first Euro Tour win, having previously been a runner-up at three previous events.
The 2018 European Pool Championships was a professional pool championship that took place at the NH Hotel Koningshof, in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The event played between 19 and 31 July 2018 was a part of the European Pool Championships; and saw events for men, women, wheelchair competitors, youth and seniors across four pool disciplines: Straight Pool, 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball.
Kristina Olegovna Tkach is a Russian professional pool player. She became the 2017 WPA World Nine-ball Junior Championship winner, defeating Lee Woo-jin in the final 9–6. Tkach is a four time European champion having won the eight-ball event in 2016 and 2019, as well as Straight pool in 2017 and 2019. In addition, she is a nine-time Junior European Champion.
The 2019 European Pool Championships was a series of professional pool championships that took place at the Best Western Premier in Treviso, Italy. The event was played between 26 April and 8 May 2019 and was the 39th edition of the European Pool Championships that were first held in 1980. The championships saw events for men, women, under 23s and wheelchairs across five disciplines; straight pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, ten-ball and a team event.
Nikolaos "Nick" Malai is an Albanian professional pool player. Malai is a former winner of an event on the Euro Tour, winning the 2012 North Cyprus Open.
Tamara Rademakers is a Dutch professional pool player currently residing at Hoensbroek, Netherlands. Rademakers reached the semi-finals of the Women's World Pool Billiard Association Masters event in 2017. Rademakers twice reached the knockout rounds at the Women's WPA World Nine-ball Championship in both 2009 and 2010, losing in the last 32.

The snooker season runs between May and April, whilst the pool and billiards seasons run in the calendar year.
The 2019 Klagenfurt Open was a professional nine-ball pool tournament and the sixth of seven Euro Tour events of the 2019 Euro Tour season. The men's event was held between 11 and 13 October, whilst the women's event was held from 13 to 14 October 2019, held at the Sportpark Klagenfurt in Klagenfurt, Austria. The event featured a total prize fund of €38,000, with the winner of each event winning €4,500.
The 2019 Euro Tour Season was a professional pool series of events on the Euro Tour held in 2019. The season featured six tournament for both men and five for women, with the first being the Leende Open and the last being the Antalya Open.
Henrik Larsson is a Swedish professional wheelchair pool player from Malmo, Sweden. Larsson is a five-time WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, WPA World Eight-ball Championship winner and 12-time European Pool Championship winner.

The 2021 Dynamic Billard St. Johann im Pongau Open was a professional nine-ball pool tournament, the first Euro Tour event of 2021. It took place from the 17th to the 20th June 2021 in the Alpina, Wellness & Sporthotel in St Johann im Pongau, Austria. The event had a total prize pool of €38,000, with the winner of each event receiving €4,500. Since the 2020 Treviso Open there had not been any Euro Tour events, having been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
