European Motocross Championship is the European championship of motocross racing, organized by the FIM Europe, from 1988. [1]

Since 2014 the 65cc, 85cc, 125cc, 150cc, 250cc, 300cc and Open classes have taken on the names EMX 65, EMX 85, EMX 125, EMX 250, EMX 300 and EMX Open. [2]

Stefan Everts is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and racing team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1988 to 2006. Everts is notable for winning a record 10 FIM motocross world championships and 101 motocross Grand Prix race victories, making him the most successful competitor in the history of the Motocross World Championships. In 2003, Everts was named the recipient of the Belgian National Sports Merit Award.

The AMA Motocross Championship is an American motorcycle racing series. The motocross race series was founded and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1972. The 2017 European Motocross Championship was the 29th European Motocross Championship season since it was revived in 1988. It included 15 events and 6 different classes. It started at Maggiora in Italy on 16 April, and ended at Villars-sous-Écot in France on 17 September. All rounds acted as support classes at the European rounds of the 2017 MXGP.

The 2020 European Motocross Championship was the 32nd European Motocross Championship season since it was revived in 1988. It includes 16 events and 6 different classes. It started at Matterley Basin in Great Britain on 1 March, and ends at Imola in Italy on 20 September. All rounds will act as support classes at the European rounds of the 2020 MXGP. In 2020, the EMX Open class will form part of the series for the first time.

The 2021 European Motocross Championship is the 33rd European Motocross Championship season since it was revived in 1988. It includes 15 events and 6 different classes. It will start in Italy on 25 April, and will end at a yet to be announced location on 31 October. All rounds will act as support classes at the European rounds of the 2021 MXGP.

The 2022 FIM Women's Motocross World Championship is the 18th Women's Motocross World Championship season. Courtney Duncan is the defending champion, after taking her third title in 2021.

The 2022 European Motocross Championship was the 34th European Motocross Championship season since it was revived in 1988. It included 16 events and 6 different classes. It started in Great Britain on 20 February and ended in Turkey on 4 September. All rounds acted as support classes at the European rounds of the 2022 MXGP.

Conrad Mewse is a British professional Motocross racer. He has previously competed full-time in the MX2 class of the FIM Motocross World Championship. He was the 2013 FIM Junior Motocross world champion in the 85cc class. In the same season he was also able to bring home the European Motocross Championship in the 85cc class.

Kevin Horgmo is a Norwegian professional motocross racer. He has been competing in the FIM Motocross World Championship since 2019. In 2023, Horgmo won his first race at World Championship-level in the MX2 class.

The 2024 European Motocross Championship is the 36th European Motocross Championship season since it was revived in 1988. It includes 14 events and 6 different classes. It will start in a yet to be announced location on 24 March, and will end in Turkey on 8 September. All rounds will act as support classes at the European rounds of the 2024 MXGP.

José Antonio Butrón Oliva is a Spanish professional Motocross racer. Butrón competed in the Motocross World Championship from 2008 to 2021, finishing third in the final standings of the MX2 class in the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship.
