The EBSA European Snooker Championship is the premier amateur snooker tournament in Europe. The event series is sanctioned by the European Billiards & Snooker Association. It first took place in 1988 and has been held annually since 1993. [1] [2] [3] In most years, the winner of the tournament qualifies for the next two seasons of the World Snooker Tour.

Wendy Jans is a Belgian professional snooker and pool player. She has won the IBSF World Snooker Championship for women nine times. She reached her first women's world final at the 2022 World Women's Snooker Championship, but lost 5–6 to Nutcharut Wongharuthai on the final black ball.
The IBSF World Snooker Championship is the premier non-professional snooker tournament in the world. The event series is sanctioned by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation. A number of IBSF champions have gone on to successful careers in the professional ranks, notably Jimmy White (1980), James Wattana (1988), Ken Doherty (1989), Stuart Bingham (1996), Marco Fu (1997), Stephen Maguire (2000) and Mark Allen (2004). Both Doherty and Bingham have gone on to win the professional World Snooker Championship.
The 2013–14 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between 6 June 2013 and 5 May 2014. From this season every qualifying match was held open to the public at various venues in the United Kingdom, replacing the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield. The number of wild-card players at the Chinese ranking events, except the Shanghai Masters, was reduced from eight to four and former Main Tour players were excluded. A professional player could not be selected for more than one wild-card match during the season.
The 2014–15 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between 8 May 2014 and 4 May 2015. The Riga Open was the first professional snooker tournament held in Latvia. The season also saw the first professional tournament in Portugal as the Lisbon Open took place.
The EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championships is the premier amateur junior snooker tournament in Europe. The event series is sanctioned by the European Billiards & Snooker Association. It took place first in 1997 and is held annually since then. The event was known as the EBSA European Under-19 Snooker Championships until 2010. In most years the winner of the tournament qualifies for the next two seasons of the World Snooker Tour as well as being awarded the Ebdon Trophy which is named in honour of former World Champion Peter Ebdon.
The 2014 EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championships took place in Bucharest, Romania between 18 and 23 March 2014. It was won by fourteenth seed Englishman Oliver Lines who defeated twentieth seed Republic of Irishman Josh Boileau 6–1 in the final. For winning the tournament, Oliver Lines was rewarded with a place in the 2014/15 snooker season.
The 2014 EBSA European Snooker Championships took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was won by eighth seed Mitchell Mann who defeated second seed John Whitty 7–2 in an all-English final. Mann had taken a 5–0 lead in the match, before Whitty won the sixth and seventh frames. For winning the tournament, Mann was rewarded with a place on the professional World Snooker Tour for the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. Mann took a 5–0 lead in the final,

David "Dai" John is a Welsh former professional snooker player.
Joe Grech was a Maltese snooker and billiards player. A professional snooker player for various years from 1988 to 2000, he won the IBSF World Billiards Championship in 1997. First competing as an amateur in the 1979s, he competed in amateur and professional snooker and billiards championships in a career spanning nearly 40 years. He won the Maltese English Billiards Championship on 21 occasions including 13 successive titles from 2003 to 2015.
Rebecca Kenna is an English professional snooker player from Keighley. She defeated Anna Prysazhnuka 4–1 in the final to win the 2024 Women's EBSA European Snooker Championship. She was runner-up in the 2018 World Ladies Billiards Championship. Kenna earned a tour card for the professional World Snooker Tour from 2022 to 2024.
Anastasia Nechaeva is a Russian amateur snooker and professional pool player. She was runner-up in the 2014 and 2015 IBSF World Snooker Championships.
Diana Stateczny is a German snooker and professional pool player. She won the women's 2019 EBSA European Snooker Championship.

Daria Sirotina is a Russian amateur snooker and professional pool player. She won the European Ladies Team Championship, partnered with Anastasia Nechaeva, each year from 2012 to 2016. She was runner-up in the women's 2013 IBSF World Six-reds Championship, failing to score in three of the four frames in the final, losing 0–4 to Ng On-yee.
