Marisa Field is a Canadian volleyball player who twice represented her home country in the FIVB World Championship, in 2010 and 2014.
She is a member of the Canada national team. She won the 2009 & 2011 NORCECA Championship Best Blocker award and played the FIVB World Grand Prix in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Field studied in the University of British Columbia Okanagan and played with the Okanagan Lakers from 2004-2006, winning the British Columbia Colleges' Athletic Association All-Star the two seasons she played there. She later moved to the University of British Columbia campus of Vancouver to play for the Thunderbirds where she won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport national championship in 2008 and 2009 [1] individually being awarded Conference First Team All-Star [2] and CIS All-Canadian second team. [3] and majored in Chemistry. [4] In her last year of eligibility, she was part of the Team Canada that ranked 13th in the 2009 Summer Universiade held in Belgrade, Serbia. [5] [6] She was selected for the Canada national team in 2007. [7]
Field teamed up with fellow Canadian Brittney Page among other international players in the Spanish club Ciudad Las Palmas G.C. Cantur. [8] She would later recall that professional experience as the worst she ever had because of the many difficulties while in Spain. [9]
She was part of the Canadian national team at the 2010 FIVB World Championship. [10] She then departed for Germany to play with the professional club SV Sinsheim along with Tonya Mokelki. [11]
Field won the Best Blocker award in the 2011 NORCECA Championship were her national team reached the sixth place. [12]
She returned for her German club, now named Envacom Volleys Sinsheim.[ citation needed ]
For the 2012/13 she played with the French professional club Istres OPVB. [13] There she had an eye accident and she was blind for two days, since that accident she uses glasses for playing, in order to prevent her eye being hit again. [9] In June 2013, Field played with national team that ranked seventh in the 2013 Pan-American Cup. [14]
The next season, Field moved to Germany playing with VfB 91 Suhl as the VolleyStars Thüringen project, [15] helping her financially troubled club [16] to the German Cup silver medal. [17]
After playing the 2014 FIVB World Championship in Italy, [18] Field moved to the Swiss Sagres Neuchâtel for the 2014/15 season, playing the 2014–15 CEV Cup with this club. [19] Field joined her national team that ranked eight in the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada. [20]
In January 2016, she joined the Swedish club Engelholms VS. [21] Field played with her national team the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix. [22] She returned for Panathinaikos, as she signed the 2016/2017 season with the Greek club with compatriot Kyla Richey [23] and later played the 2017 Pan-American Cup held in Peru, helping her national team to reach the sixth place. Foluke Atinuke Gunderson is an indoor volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Japanese club Hisamitsu Springs. Born in Canada, she represents the United States internationally. Gunderson won gold with the national team at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix, 2014 World Championship, the Rimini Volleyball Nations League, and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Her 2020 Olympics win allowed her to complete the trifecta of winning an Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medal.
Vilmarie Mojica is a volleyball player from Puerto Rico, who captained the Women's National Team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan. There the team ended up in eighth and last place, having received a wild card for the event after Peru and Kenya withdrew.
Brenda Castillo is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a libero. She was a member of the Dominican Republic national team that won fifth place in the 2012 Summer Olympics, while she was named the tournament's Best Libero. She played in the 2014 World Championship reaching also the fifth place and ranking 17th in the 2010 World Championship and the 2011 FIVB World Cup where her national team ranked eight and the 2015 FIVB World Cup, winning the Best Libero individual award and ranking in seventh place.

Samantha Bricio is a Mexican volleyball professional player, the youngest player to play for the Mexico national team in its history. Bricio played in the 2009 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship and again in 2011, finishing twelfth. She received the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games Best Scorer and Best Server awards and the Best Scorer award in the 2011 Youth Pan-American Cup, 2011 Junior Pan-American Cup and the 2013 Pan-American Cup.
Courtney Lynn Thompson is an American former professional volleyball player who played as a setter for the United States women's national volleyball team. She won the 2005 national championship while playing for the University of Washington, and she set an NCAA record in career assists per game. Thompson won gold with the national team at the 2014 World Championship, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Taylor Mackenzie Wilson is a Canadian professional volleyball player. She has won seven Canadian national titles, including the women's volleyball championship in 2014.
Kyla Richey is a Canadian volleyball player. She is a member of the Canada women's national volleyball team since she made the Senior A team in 2008. Prior to that, she was a part of the Junior National team for three years from 2015-2017. Kyla is the current captain of Team Canada under head coach Tom Black. Her career is one of the longest Team Canada Women's Team stints in history competing at three consecutive World Championships.
Karen Cope Charles is a beach volleyball and volleyball player from Costa Rica who played the 2006 and 2010 FIVB indoor World Championships and the 2015 World Championships and the 2016 Summer Olympics in beach volleyball.
Yoana Palacio Mahmudova born 6 October 1990) is a Cuban-born Azerbaijani female volleyball player. She was part of the Cuba women's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB World Championship in Japan. She won the silver medal in the 2011 Pan American Games being selected Best Spiker and Most Valuable Player and twice won the bronze medal in the NORCECA Continental Championship, in 2009 and 2011.
John Gordon "Gord" Perrin is a Canadian volleyball player. He was a two–time Turkish Champion. Perrin is a retired member of the Canada men's national volleyball team, participating in two Olympic Games, as well as winning gold at the 2015 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship.
Graham Saxton Vigrass is a Canadian professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Canadian men's national volleyball team, a participant at two Olympic Games, and a bronze medallist at the 2017 World League.

Brianna Beamish is a Canadian volleyball player. She was part of the Canada women's national volleyball team, and participated at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Prix, and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. She played CIS women's volleyball for the UBC Okanagan Heat for five seasons from 2011 to 2016. She finished her university career by contributing to the Heat's Bronze medal win in the 2016 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship.
The 2009 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship was held February 26, 2009 to February 28, 2009, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, to determine a national champion for the 2008–09 CIS women's volleyball season. The tournament was played at the Aitken University Centre and was hosted by the University of New Brunswick. It was the second consecutive year that the University of New Brunswick had hosted the tournament following their first ever hosting duties in 2008.
