Mark D. Hayward is an American demographer and sociologist.
Hayward completed his bachelor's degree in sociology at the Washington State University in 1975, then pursued a master's (1978) and doctorate (1981) in the same subject at Indiana University Bloomington. [1] He taught at the University of Southern California and Pennsylvania State University before moving to the University of Texas at Austin in 2005, [2] where he holds the Centennial Commission Professorship in Liberal Arts #1. [3]
Hayward became a honored member of the Population Association of America in 2019. [2] He is a former chief editor of the academic journal Demography . [2]

Light Townsend Cummins is an American educator and historian. He was the Bryan Professor of History at Austin College in Sherman, Texas prior to his retirement in 2018 and was the official State Historian of Texas from May 2009 to July 2012.
William Samuel Livingston was a political science professor who was the acting president of the University of Texas at Austin, a position he held from 1992 until 1993. Born in Ironton, Ohio, Livingston fought in World War II as a first lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. James Dell Talarico is an American politician and former teacher. He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2018 to represent District 52, which includes the cities of Round Rock, Taylor, Hutto, and Georgetown in Williamson County. Following the 2020 redistricting cycle, Talarico announced his run for a seat in District 50 in 2022, which he won. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Gregorio Eduardo Casar is an American politician who is the member for Texas's 35th congressional district in the United States Congress since 2023. He served as a member of the Austin City Council from the 4th district from 2015 to 2022. Casar is a member of the Democratic Party and was endorsed by the Working Families Party in his run for Congress. Casar is an unendorsed member of the Democratic Socialists of America. He was first elected to the Austin City Council in 2014, representing District 4. He was reelected in 2016 and 2020. He was elected to Congress in 2022.
