Mark Kenneth Woods (date of birth unknown) is a Canadian writer, actor, producer, director and TV host.
Woods was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. [1] He graduated from University of Toronto's cinema studies program and continued with a Master's degree in communication and cultural studies from York University in Toronto. [2]
Woods is a filmmaker, writer and actor who works in film, video and television. He is best known for writing, producing and acting on the TV series and digital project The Face of Furry Creek [3] [4] and the House of Venus Show which initially aired on OutTV in Canada, and his commercial for Starbucks featuring Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano called "Coffee Frenemies" which has been viewed over 1 million times. Woods has also produced and directed several documentaries including Is The Village Dying? about the state of LGBT neighbourhoods, [7] Take Up the Torch (co-directed with Michael Yerxa) about the LGBT sports movement in Canada [8] and This Is Drag featuring Bianca Del Rio, Adore Delano and Courtney Act which was released exclusively in Canada on March 2, 2015. Woods' latest feature documentary Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things explores the challenges faced by LGBTQ Inuit in Nunavut and how a new generation is forging a more inclusive society. [11] [12] The film had its world premiere on June 3, 2016, at the Inside Out Film and Video Festival In Toronto. [13]
In 2019, Woods debuted the documentary television series Pride , which travels around the world to profile different LGBT Pride festivals, for OUTtv. [14] The series has been nominated for 13 Leo Awards (and two wins) and 4 Canadian Screen Awards. [15] [16] [17]

The House of Venus Show is a Canadian LGBT sketch comedy television show created by Canadian filmmaker Mark Kenneth Woods and co-produced by Michael Venus. The first season aired on the Canadian LGBT channel OutTV in July 2005. The second season began airing in September, 2006 and, after a hiatus, a third season debuted in July, 2009.

Out On Screen is an LGBT-oriented arts organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It began as a small, community-based film festival in 1988 and was registered as a BC society in 1989, in anticipation of the 1990 Gay Games. We're Funny That Way began as an annual charity comedy festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1996. Launched in 1996 by Maggie Cassella, the festival featured stand-up and sketch comedy shows by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender comedians. It ran until 2012 when it took a five-year hiatus, returning in 2017. Vance and Pepe's Porn Start is a comedic mockumentary directed by and starring Mark Kenneth Woods, and co-starring Michael Venus, Ryan Steele, and Rachelle Lachland. It had its debut at the Out On Screen Vancouver Queer Film Festival in August 2011. The DVD was released January 17, 2012 through MKW Productions and had its television broadcast debut on July 29, 2012 on OUTtv in Canada.

It was created by Woods and the series premiered on OUTtv on June 3, 2013 in the network's coveted Monday night 9pm time slot previously held by Season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
