Mark Tweedie (born September 29, 1956) is an American politician who served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 13th district from 2015 to 2019. [1] [2]

The 1974 United States House of Representatives elections were elections for the United States House of Representatives in 1974 that occurred in the wake of the Watergate scandal, which had forced President Richard Nixon to resign in favor of Gerald Ford. This scandal, along with high inflation, allowed the Democrats to make large gains in the midterm elections, taking 49 seats from the Republicans and increasing their majority above the two-thirds mark. Altogether, there were 93 freshmen representatives in the 94th Congress when it convened on January 3, 1975. Those elected to office that year later came to be known collectively as "Watergate Babies".

Tweedie or Tweedy is a Scottish clan name. The Clan Tweedie does not currently have a chief recognized by the Lord Lyon King of Arms and is therefore considered an Armigerous clan. However the surname is also considered a sept of the Clan Fraser. The name is derived from the lands of Tweedie which were along the Valley of the River Tweed in Peebleshire in the Scottish Borders.

Oliver Castle was a medieval tower house, located in the upper Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders. The site of the hillfort known as Oliver Castle is to the north of the village of Tweedsmuir, although the site of the tower house is less certain. 2020 United States House of Representatives elections House elections for the 117th U.S. Congress

The 2020 United States House of Representatives elections will be held November 3, 2020. Elections will be held to elect representatives from all 435 congressional districts across each of the 50 U.S. states. The six non-voting delegates from the District of Columbia and the inhabited U.S. territories will also be elected. Numerous other federal, state, and local elections, including the 2020 presidential election and the 2020 Senate elections, will also be held on this date. The winners of this election will serve in the 117th United States Congress, with seats apportioned among the states based on the 2010 United States Census. Democrats have held a majority in the House of Representatives since January 3, 2019 as a result the 2018 elections, when they won 235 seats. To win a majority, Republicans would need a net gain of 20 seats.

Austin Davis is a Democratic State Representative representing the 35th District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. 2020 Marylands 7th congressional district special election

A special election will be held on April 28, 2020, after a February 4, 2020 primary, to fill the remainder of the term in the United States House of Representatives for Maryland's 7th congressional district in the 116th U.S. Congress. Elijah Cummings, the incumbent representative, died in office on October 17, 2019.

2020 Californias 25th congressional district special election

A special election to the United States House of Representatives for California's 25th congressional district will be held following Katie Hill's resignation. Hill announced her resignation on October 27, 2019 and it became effective November 3, 2019. The primary will happen on March 3, 2020. If a candidate receives more than 50% of the primary vote, he or she will be automatically elected and the runoff election will be cancelled, otherwise the top two finishers in the primary advance to a runoff election on May 12, 2020. The winner of the special election will finish the remaining balance of Hill's term in the 116th Congress. A separate primary and general election on March 3, 2020 and on November 3, 2020 respectively will determine the representative for the 117th Congress.
