Mark Stephen Zunino is an American fashion designer. [1]

Early life and education

Mark Zunino was born in Fairfield, California. He and his family later moved to Vacaville, CA for work. He grew interested in sports following his dad's encouragement. After graduating high school, Zunino attended the University of California at Davis for a short time. He later transferred to Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA to study architecture. [2]

Career

His first entry into his career was when he was recommended for an internship with Aaron Spelling and Nolan Miller, a television producer and fashion designer respectively. [2] Through his work with Nolan, Zunino was able to work with multiple people, such as Nancy Reagan, [3] Elizabeth Taylor, [4] Joan Collins, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears. [5] [6] These experiences, combined with his exposure to the couture business among others, helped inform his focus on an “old Hollywood” style. [6] Zunino later launched a fashion line in 1998, which was designed to have more “modern” sensibilities. [6] He later debuted the “Mark Zunino” line and accepted a partnership with Miller. [2] The partnership lasted from 1998-2007 when it was dissolved due to Miller being diagnosed with lung cancer. Zunino relaunched it under his own name. [2] He toured internationally from 2007–2011 in partnership with General Motors. [7] He launched multiple fashion lines in 2011, including Mark Zunino Bridal and MZ2, which was relatively budget-priced. [2] He opened a salon in Beverly Hills, CA in 2015. [2]

Mimi Fayazi is an American fashion designer who was particularly successful in the 1970s. Mimi was born in Iran and came to New York in 1967 to study fashion at the Mayer School of Fashion Design. Fayazi began designing in New York, and then started Mimi Fayazi Designs in 1974 in Los Angeles, with the Fayazi Couture, Miss Fayazi Dresses, and Mimi Fayazi Sportswear labels. Her style was distinctly feminine, while also drawing on the classic influences of the 1930s and 1940s. Besides being known for her design and fabrication, her clothing was also intended to transition easily from day time to evening wear. Her clothing, considered creative and sophisticated, sold in specialty and department stores, including Saks, Lord & Taylor, and Bergdorf Goodman, and were worn by many actresses, including Ali MacGraw and Candice Bergen. In 1978, Fayazi won 2 Tommy Awards from the American Printed Fabrics Council, Inc. for her designs.

Gregory Herman is an American fashion designer, brand, and producer. He is best known for his luxury line of handbags and collections of interior products. In addition to his work in design, Herman, from 2011-2012 was signed to a first look deal to develop television and feature film concepts with Shaftesbury Films, and later from 2013-15 with Starz Media | Film Roman. In 2016, Herman signed another first look deal with Lakeshore Films, and partnered up with Drew Barrymore of Flower Films and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) to co-develop BLOOMS, a one-hour dramedy series for MTV Productions. Herman is currently represented by the talent agency William Morris Endeavor.
