Markkinointi & Mainonta, abbreviated as M&M, (Finnish : Marketing and Advertising) was a marketing magazine based in Helsinki, Finland. It was in circulation between 1994 and 2020.

History and profile

M&M was started in 1994 by a group, including Kim Weckström, a Finnish entrepreneur. [1] Weckström was the founding editor of the magazine. [2] M&M was first owned by Talentum. [3] Later it became part of Alma Talent. [4]

M&M came out weekly between its start in 1994 and 2009. [3] Then it appeared on a biweekly basis. [3] As of 2009 Heimo Hatakka was the editor-in-chief of the magazine. [5]

The target audience of M&M was marketing professionals, including the managers and decision makers in the field. [6] The magazine published annual lists such as Top 300 brands. [7] The editors of the magazine joined a jury members in the Epica contest on Europe's best advertising. [8] The last edition of the magazine appeared on 18 December 2020. [4] [9] The parent company, Alma Talent, also closed two other magazines, Metallitekniikka and Tekniikan Historia. [4]

M&M sold 3,500 copies in 2018. [6]

In addition to Ylivieska, the company has also stores in Oulu, Ii, Lahti and Jyväskylä, and it also own an online store. The company's founder and CEO is Juha Kärkkäinen.

Taffel is a Finnish brand of potato chips produced by Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Finland. Taffel potato chips are produced in Åland, and it was the first product of the Orkla factory. The Taffel brand also includes dipping sauces, French fries, popcorn and nut mixes. According to research by Markkinointi & Mainonta magazine and Taloustutkimus, Taffel was Finland's most valued brand of potato chips in 2015.

Elovena is a Finnish food brand by the Raisio Group. The Elovena product line includes oat flakes and other cereal products. In 2020 the product line included prepackaged porridges, flakes, bran and germ, vegetable protein products, snack drinks and cookies as well as breakfast cereal. There are over 60 products in total.
