Marnie Simpson (born 17 January 1992) is an English television personality from Consett, County Durham. She appeared on the MTV reality series Geordie Shore . In 2016, she finished in fourth place on the eighteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother , and appeared on the eighth series of Ex on the Beach .
Simpson joined Geordie Shore in 2013, she had previously appeared in a club scene from series 1 in episode 4. Simpson left the series in 2015 at the end of the eleventh series, but returned in the twelfth series. In 2016, she took part in the eighteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother where she finished in fourth place. In 2017, she returned to Big Brother 18 , as a special guest for a shopping task. [1] Simpson also took part in series eight of Ex on the Beach . Later in 2017, she released her own range of contact lenses, under the brand 'I Spy Eyes'. [2] In 2019, Simpson began starring in the MTV series Geordie Shore OGs , a spinoff series of Geordie Shore. [3]
Before appearing on Geordie Shore, Simpson was a runner-up in Miss Newcastle, [4] and she worked as a waitress. [5] She was previously engaged to then boyfriend Ricky Rayment from The Only Way Is Essex [6] on Season 11 of Geordie Shore, but then broke it off & returned to the show in Season 12. Her cousin is a fellow Geordie Shore cast member, Sophie Kasaei. [7] In April 2019, she announced that she was pregnant, [8] and 29 October 2019, she gave birth to her son with partner Casey Johnson. [9] They have a second son born in May 2022.

Geordie Shore is a British reality television series that has been broadcast on MTV UK from 24 May 2011. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, it was the British offshoot of the American show Jersey Shore. The programme follows the daily lives of 8–12 housemates, as they live together for a number of weeks. In the first series, the house was located in Jesmond, a suburb of Newcastle. Since the second series, the show has used a house in the Oceana Business Park in Wallsend.
Holly Victoria Hagan-Blyth is an English television personality from Thornaby-on-Tees. She starred on and is best known from the MTV series Geordie Shore.

The seventh series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was announced on 5 July 2013 after cast members Holly Hagan and Vicky Pattison had been arrested for assault on a night out during filming. The series began on 17 September 2013, just three weeks after Series 6 had concluded, and finished airing on 22 October 2013 after six episodes. This series had a shorter run that usual due to filming being postponed after the night of the assault. It was reported that filming for the series began on 26 June 2013 as the cast members had all been absent from Twitter since then. This was the last series to feature Sophie Kasaei after she was axed from the series following a racial slur. It was also the first series to feature Sophie's cousin, Marnie Simpson and included the brief return of Jay Gardner, who had previously featured in series one to three, and again during the sixth series for two episodes. Following Vicky's arrest, she was absent from the final half of the series. This series included the cast members taking part in a number of activities on their bucket list, new cast member Marnie isolating herself after breaking up the friendship between Gaz and Scott, and Jay returning to fix the drift between the cast members.

Gary "Gaz" Beadle is an English reality television personality from Prudhoe, Northumberland, known primarily for appearing in the MTV reality series Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2017. In 2015, he appeared in the second series of Ex on the Beach, and later returned to take part in the All Stars fifth series in 2016. In 2019, Beadle began starring in the MTV series Geordie OGs, a spinoff series of Geordie Shore.

The thirteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 23 May 2015 when it was confirmed that MTV had renewed the series for a further three series taking it up to the thirteenth series, and began on 25 October 2016. The series was filmed in June and July 2016 and concluded on 20 December 2016. This was the first series not to include Charlotte Crosby since she made her exit during the previous series. It also features the return of former cast members Sophie Kasaei and Kyle Christie who previously made a brief return during the Big Birthday Battle anniversary series, and is the last to feature Chantelle Connelly after it was revealed she quit the show mid-series. This series was filmed in various party resort towns in island destinations, including Ayia Napa, Corfu, Kavos, Ibiza and Magaluf. It was also later announced that this would be Holly Hagan's last series after she quit in the series finale, along with Kyle Christie.
The fourteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 31 October 2016 when cast member Scotty T announced that he would be taking a break from the series to focus on other commitments. The series was filmed in November 2016, and began airing on 28 March 2017. Ahead of the series, it was also confirmed that original cast member Holly Hagan had quit the show, following her exit in the previous series. On 28 February 2017, it was announced that eight new cast members had joined for this series. Zahida Allen, Chelsea Barber, Sam Bentham, Sarah Goodhart, Abbie Holborn, Elettra Lamborghini, Billy Phillips and Eve Shannon all appeared throughout the series hoping to become permanent members of the cast, and in the series finale, Holborn was chosen. Goodhart and Allen both previously appeared on Ex on the Beach, with the former appearing on the third series of the show as the ex-girlfriend of current Geordie Shore cast member Marty McKenna. Lamborghini has also appeared on Super Shore and participated in the fifth season of Gran Hermano VIP, the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother. It was also confirmed that Scotty T would return later in the series.

The sixteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle Upon Tyne was filmed in September 2017 and began on 9 January 2018, and concluded after ten episodes on 13 March 2018. This is the first series not to include original cast member Gaz Beadle after he quit the show for personal reasons. New cast members for this series include Sam Gowland, who had previously appeared on the third series of Love Island, as well as Steph Snowdon. However it was later revealed that Steph had been axed from the show and would therefore not return for the seventeenth series.

She starred on the MTV reality series Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2013, returned from 2016 to 2019, and appeared in the spinoff series Geordie Shore OGs. Kasaei also appeared on Just Tattoo of Us in 2017 alongside then boyfriend Joel Corry, and starred in Celebrity Ex on the Beach in 2020.

The series reunited the original cast members, alongside their children, friends, and new faces, and followed their personal and professional lives. It premiered on 14 August 2019. MTV renewed the series for a fourth and final season which premiered on 13 July 2021.
The twenty-third series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 15 February 2022, when Paramount+ introduced their new lineup of unscripted series and renewals for MTV Entertainment Studios, including the show's new spin-off, although they were scheduled to start in late 2020 and 2021 but have been postponed several times due to UK COVID-19 restrictions. Filming locations include a trip to the Algarve in Portugal, Ibiza and Newcastle upon Tyne. The first trailer for the season was released in late August 2022 and premiered later that year on September 20. This was the final series to feature Marty McKenna after he was suspended from MTV. This series appears as "Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series" and not as a spin off of the show. This series brings together the cast members to celebrate Geordie Shore's 10th anniversary.
The twenty-fourth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 6 December 2023, and began airing on 9 January 2024. After last season the original cast reunited again in a mansion in Cyprus. Bethan Kershaw, Amelia Lily, Anthony Kennedy and Louis Shaw did not return to the show after the previous season. Before this season premiered, Charlotte Crosby announced her departure from the show. This was also last season of Marnie Simpson.
