Marshfield Motor Speedway is a half-mile asphalt oval motor racetrack built by Jim Langreck that is located at 10853 County Rd H, 3.5 miles west of Marshfield, Wisconsin. [2] The land the track sits on was originally purchased by Mr. Langreck in 1972. The track opened as a half-mile clay oval in 1977. It held a Dairyland Midget Series race in 1985. [1]

Marshfield is a city in Wood County and Marathon County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10, Highway 13 and Highway 97. The largest city in Wood County, its population was 19,118 at the 2010 census. Of this, 18,218 were in Wood County, and 900 were in Marathon County. The city is part of the United States Census Bureau's Marshfield-Wisconsin Rapids Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Wood County. The portion of the city in Marathon County is part of the Wausau Metropolitan Statistical Area.

In 1995 the track was paved for the start of the 1996 racing season. Wayne Brevik managed the track starting in 2006. [2] The track features Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and two 4-cylinder classes. [2]

A "late model car" is a car which has been recently designed or manufactured, often the latest model. The term is broadly used in car racing, and often appears in common use, as in: "The officer was driving an unmarked, late model sedan."

Several touring series have visited the track including ARCA Midwest Tour [3] and the Mid-American Stock Car Series. [4]

ARCA Midwest Tour

The ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment is a pavement Super Late Model auto racing series based in the Midwestern United States with its headquarters in Oregon, Wisconsin. The Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) sanctions the regional series as a developmental series along with its CRA Super Series.

Mid-American Stock Car Series

The Mid American Stock Car Series is a traveling Sportsman Series in the Midwestern United States. The series races exclusively on paved racetracks. The cars are based on a 108" metric stock frame, less costly suspension parts and a maximum of 358 cubic inch engine. The car's roll cage and chassis were made of a design very similar to the same chassis ran by NASCAR in the 80's, but have also included more modern chassis safety designs such as plated door bars and the "Earnhardt Bar" which runs from the roof to the dash.

Paige Decker is an American professional stock car racing driver from Eagle River, Wisconsin. She has raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Xfinity Series and was a 2014 NASCAR Drive for Diversity participant.

Natalie Decker stock car racing driver

Natalie Lynn Decker is an American professional stock car racing driver. She currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 54 Toyota Tundra for DGR-Crosley, part-time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, driving the No. 98 Toyota Camry for DGR-Crosley, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 54 Camry for DGR-Crosley. She attempted to make her first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in the No. 14 MAKE Motorsports entry on April 2, 2016 in the Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville Speedway. Decker was a 2016 Alan Kulwicki Driver Development competitor and 2015 Drive for Diversity participant.

Lucas Oil Raceway is an auto racing facility in Brownsburg, Indiana, United States, about 10 miles west of Downtown Indianapolis. Concord Speedway is a motorsports facility located in the town of Midland, North Carolina, southeast of Concord, North Carolina. The complex features a 1/2 mile tri-oval and a 1/4 mile oval which also features a 1/5 mile oval. The original track that was located off Poplar Tent Road in Concord held twelve NASCAR Grand National events between 1956 and 1964.

The Madison International Speedway (MIS) is a stock car racing oval in the Town of Rutland near Oregon, Wisconsin. The track is billed as "The Track of Champions" and "Wisconsin's Fastest Half Mile." The weekly program at the track runs on Friday nights under NASCAR Whelen All-American Series sanction.

Egnatius "Iggy" Katona was an American stock car racer from Willis, Michigan. He is most famous for his performance in the ARCA series in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, where he won six championships and 79 races, the latter of which stood as a series record until Frank Kimmel surpassed it in 2013. La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway

The La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway is a semi-banked asphalt oval racetrack in West Salem, Wisconsin. The outer track is 5/8 mile and the inner track is a 1/4 mile. The track was built at the fairgrounds for La Crosse County. It used to host an event on the American Speed Association (ASA) and the ASA Late Model Series before the demise of the series. It currently hosts annual touring events on the ARCA Midwest Tour and Mid American Stock Car Series. It hosts weekly stock car races which are sanctioned by NASCAR's Whelen All-American Series. It was the first NASCAR-sanctioned race track in Wisconsin.

Norway Speedway

Norway Speedway, located in Norway, Michigan, is a one-third mile asphalt oval track that is slightly banked. Norway Speedway began as a dirt track in 1942 and was paved in 1978. The track holds stock car races on Friday nights from Mid-May through Labor Day Weekend which is the weekend of the Dickinson County Fair. The fair has games, carnival rides, a demolition derby, and a livestock building filled with animals. Events include the Auto-Value Challenge Series, Race to a Cure Cancer, the Stateline Challenge and the Labor Day 100 championship race held during the Dickinson County Fair. The ARCA Midwest Tour, Mid-American Stock Car Series, and the TUNDRA Super Late Models have raced at the track.

Austin Theriault American racecar driver

Austin Theriault is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 92 Ford F-150 for RBR Enterprises. He won the ARCA Racing Series championship in 2017.

Ty Majeski American racing driver

Tyler "Ty" Majeski is an American professional stock car racing driver. He most recently competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 60 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing. He started his racing career on dirt karts near his hometown of Seymour, Wisconsin. Majeski later moved up to racing late models on asphalt, and then began racing in touring series. He was the champion of the ARCA Midwest Tour in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 while winning the series' 2014 Rookie of the Year award.

Ocean Speedway, formerly known as Watsonville Speedway, is a dirt oval located in Watsonville, California, United States at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

Thaddeus "Thad" Moffitt is an American stock car racing driver. He is the grandson of seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Richard Petty, and he currently competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 46 Chevrolet SS for Empire Racing, a team which has an alliance with Richard Petty Motorsports.
