Martin Bachhuber (born October 14, 1955 Benediktbeuern) is a German politician, representative of the Christian Social Union of Bavaria. [1] From 1984 to 2008 he was the mayor of Bad Heilbrunn. Since 2008 he is a member of the Bavarian Landtag.

The Christian Social Union in Bavaria is a Christian-democratic and conservative political party in Germany. Having a regionalist identity, the CSU operates only in Bavaria while its larger counterpart, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), operates in the other fifteen states of Germany.
