Martin Damsbo (born 26 May 1985 in Odense), is a Danish athlete who competes in compound archery. He has won medals at the World Archery Championships, a gold medal at the 2013 Archery World Cup Final, and achieved his highest world ranking of 2 in 2010. [1]

Deepika Kumari is an Indian professional archer. Currently ranked the World No. 2, she competes in the event of archery. She won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi. She has won individual gold in two of the three stages of the World Cup—one in Guatemala and another in Paris. In the process she also reclaimed the number one ranking after nine years in Paris World Cup. Deepika Kumari won individual gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 1. Deepika Kumari also defeated Mexico by 5–1 in the final to win gold in Paris.

Zahra Nemati is an Iranian Paralympic and Olympic archer. She originally competed in taekwondo before she was paralyzed in a car accident. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics she won two medals, an individual gold and team bronze. She has qualified to compete at both the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Paralympics. She was the flag bearer at the 2016 Olympics and the postponed 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo where she shared the honour with thrower Nourmohammad Arekhi.

The men's individual compound competition at the 2011 World Archery Championships took place on 5–10 July 2011 in Torino, Italy. 132 archers competed in the qualification round on 4 July; the top 104 archers qualified for the knockout tournament on 7–8 July, with the semi-finals and finals on 9 July.

The men's individual compound competition at the 2009 World Archery Championships took place on 2–9 September 2009 in Ulsan, South Korea. 113 archers entered the competition, with one withdrawal before the qualification round on 2 September. The 2013 Archery World Cup was the 8th edition of the annual international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. Archers in the recurve and compound disciplines acquired qualifying points based on their performance. The top mixed team and the top seven individual archers over the course of the four stages joined the leading non-qualified host nation archer for the finals.
