Martin Heppell (born 14 November 1974) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda and Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Recruited from Carey Grammar, Heppell played five senior games for St Kilda over two seasons, then went to Melbourne, at pick 28 in the 1995 Pre-Season Draft. [1] [2] He was also unable to gain regular senior selection at Melbourne, playing only two AFL games. [3]
Heppell was a member of Norwood's 1998 SANFL reserves premiership team. [4]
He later coached the Box Hill reserves and Mitcham in the Eastern Football League.

Recruited from Morwell through Gippsland Power, Knowles spent his debut season playing for St Kilda reserves in 1997. Given an opportunity to play at senior level in 1998, he showed promise but was sidelined in 1999 due to an injury. His most successful year was 2000, when he played 17 games, but lost form early in 2001 and was eventually dropped from the senior team.
