Derek Hall (born 29 November 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the West Coast Eagles and Geelong in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Early life

A basketball player in his youth, Hall was brought up in the Western Australian town of Harvey. Although he was picked up by West Coast in the 1990 AFL draft, Hall continued playing for West Perth in the WAFL. Hall, a strong marking forward, had to wait until 1993 to break into the AFL and made two appearances. [1] He spent 1994 in the WAFL and topped West Perth's goal-kicking for the second time.

Career

Hall nominated for the pre-season draft in 1994 and secured with the 16th selection by Geelong. He was used both as a forward and in the midfield by his new club. In 1996 he missed just one game, played in a qualifying final, had 334 disposals and kicked 24 goals. [2] He also had 144 marks, which was the most by a Geelong player that season and was selected in Western Australia's State of Origin team. [3] The following year he again performed well, kicking a further 26 goals and averaging 17.88 disposals a game.

He returned to the WAFL after leaving Geelong and played at Peel Thunder.

Hall was playing coach of Mooroopna in the Goulburn Valley Football Netball League from 2005 to 2007. He then coached Katandra in the Picola & District Football League until 2010, taking them a grand final in 2008 and preliminary finals the following two years.

Nicoski also represented Australia in the 2011 International Rules Series. However, after serious injuries, including a torn hamstring during the final of the 2012 pre-season tournament, he did not play at AFL level over the following two seasons. Having played 112 games for West Coast, Nicoski retired from the AFL at the end of the 2013 season.

Mark LeCras Australian rules footballer

Mark LeCras is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was predominantly used as a small forward, though he has occasionally played in the midfield. He won an AFL Premiership with West Coast in 2018, his last season.

Adam Hunter is an Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hunter was born in Bunbury, Western Australia, and played with the South Bunbury Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being recruited to West Coast with the 29th pick overall in the 1999 National Draft. From Perth, Western Australia, Jones made his debut for Claremont in 2003, and was recruited to the Kangaroos in the 2003 National Draft. Over three seasons at the club, he played six games, kicking a single goal, before being traded to West Coast prior to the 2007 season. At West Coast, Jones played seven games over two seasons before being delisted. Remaining with Claremont where he played as a key forward, Jones led the club's goalkicking in 2009 and 2010, also winning the Bernie Naylor Medal as the competition's leading goalkicker in both seasons. Mark Hutchings Australian rules footballer

Mark Raymond Hutchings is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). From Perth, Western Australia, Hutchings captained his state at the 2009 National Under-18 Championships, and, having also played for East Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), was selected by St Kilda in the 2010 Rookie Draft. A midfielder, he was delisted after a season at the club without having made his senior debut, and transferred to West Perth upon his return to Western Australia. Establishing himself as a regular player for the team, Hutchings was one of the competition's best players during the 2012 season, playing state football, finishing second in the Sandover Medal, and winning West Perth's best and fairest award. He was drafted by West Coast at the 2012 National Draft, and made his senior AFL debut during the 2013 season, playing nine matches during his debut season, as well as playing in a premiership for West Perth.
