Martin "Marty" James Strech (born April 18, 1997 in Fountain Valley, California) is an American artistic gymnast. He was part of the U.S. team at the 2014 Pacific Rim Championships where he picked up team gold and silver and bronze medals for Vault and Floor events.

Competitive History

2012

Strech competed at the 2012 VISA Championships in St Louis, Mo where he picked 2 silvers on Floor and Pommel Horse as well as an All-around bronze. [1]

2013

Marty placed 40th overall at the Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, NV, with a combined field of junior and senior athletes. [2] Strech took home an all-around silver at the 2013 P&G U.S. National Championships at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. [3]

2014

Strech finished 36th at the Winter Cup Challenge in 2014. [4] Marty was later selected to represent Team USA at the Junior Pan American Championships in Aracaju, Brazil. He took all-around gold [5] as well as team gold. [6] He later was chosen to compete at the Pacific Rim Championships in Richmond, Canada. He helped the team win a gold medal and he also shared a silver in the all-around with compatriot, Alec Yoder. [7] He later won a silver on vault and a bronze on floor. [8]

Personal life

Strech attended University of Michigan following high school graduation. [9]

Jonathan Alan Horton is a former American artistic gymnast. He is the 2008 Olympic silver medalist on high bar, the 2010 World all-around bronze medalist, a two-time Olympian, a two-time U.S. National All-Around Champion, and a 17-time medalist at the U.S. National Championships. At the 2008 Olympics, he also won a bronze medal with his U.S. teammates in the team competition. He also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he qualified for the high bar event final and finished in sixth place. Emily Whitehead is an Australian artistic gymnast. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she won a bronze medal in the team event and on the vault. She represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics and is a two-time Oceanic all-around champion (2021-22). She is the 2015 Australian junior national all-around champion and a three-time national all-around medalist at the senior level. She won a silver medal on the vault at the 2018 Melbourne World Cup.
