John F. "Denny" Driscoll was an American Major League Baseball pitcher from 1880 to 1884. Driscoll played for the Buffalo Bisons, Pittsburgh Alleghenys, and Louisville Eclipse. While playing for Pittsburgh, he led the American Association in earned run average in 1882, at 1.21. He went 13-9 that season. In 1883, he was the primary pitcher for the Alleghenys' for most of the season with an 18–21 record, and was the opening day starting pitcher.
The Outcasts are an American garage rock band from San Antonio, Texas that released a total of five singles between 1965 and 1967. Their best-known songs are "I'm in Pittsburgh ", and "1523 Blair". Their recordings have been reissued on a number of compilation albums. According to the Ugly Things compilation album notes, they are the most recognized band of this name that were active in the mid-1960s, including another popular band from Manhasset, New York.

The 2002 Alabama Crimson Tide football team represented the University of Alabama in the 2002 NCAA Division I-A football season. It was the Crimson Tide's 108th overall season, 70th as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and its 11th within the SEC Western Division. The team was led by head coach Dennis Franchione, in his second year, and played their home games at Bryant–Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They finished the season with a record of 10–3 to finish in first place in the SEC West; however, the team was ineligible to compete in the 2002 SEC Championship Game or a bowl game due to a two-year postseason ban imposed as part of the penalty for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) violations.

The 2010 Samsung Mobile 500 was the eighth race of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. It was scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. EST on April 18, 2010, but because of poor weather conditions it was delayed until noon EDT on April 19 on Fox, and was broadcast on PRN radio at 2:00 pm EDT. This was the first race on a mile and a half track that cars had the new rear spoilers installed, which altered their aerodynamic features. The race had 12 different leaders, 31 lead changes, seven caution flags and one red flag. Denny Hamlin won the race, and would go on to also win the fall race.

Filmed in Mexico and released through Eagle-Lion Classics, the picture is based on the book South of the Rio Grande by Max Brand and is sometimes referred to as My Brother, the Outlaw.
William Joseph Denny was an Australian journalist, lawyer, politician and decorated soldier who held the South Australian House of Assembly seats of West Adelaide from 1900 to 1902 and then Adelaide from 1902 to 1905 and again from 1906 to 1933. After an unsuccessful candidacy as a United Labor Party (ULP) member in 1899, he was elected as an "independent liberal" in a by-election in 1900. He was re-elected in 1902, but defeated in 1905. The following year, he was elected as a ULP candidate, and retained his seat for that party until 1931. Along with the rest of the cabinet, he was ejected from the Australian Labor Party in 1931, and was a member of the Parliamentary Labor Party until his electoral defeat at the hands of a Lang Labor Party candidate in 1933.

The 2022 NASCAR All-Star Race (XXXVIII) was a NASCAR Cup Series stock car exhibition race that was held on May 22, 2022, at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Contested over 140 laps, extended from 125 laps due to overtime finishes in two stages, it was the second exhibition race of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.
